    great welcoming staff. Beautiful bathroom.

The pool area was crowded. our balcony looked over the pool and it was also noisy. It takes several elevators not near each other to get around. The bar area and restaurant were small, with pricey wine offered.

    Great location

Breakfast layout average with little space to place things near breafast bar(s). Bar staff slow to offer service.

    The view

Nearly everything else! We stayed in seven hotels over 18 days with this being our last and what a disappointment! This is not a four star hotel. We were taken in by the photos but realisium is nothing close. I am amazed by the number of comments praising this hotel as it is badly in need of a refurb. The lifts are only capable of taking three people at once and are tiny, old and therefore a little disconcerting. The stairs are worse, dark, tatty, with four dirty dustbins storied on one landing and boxes of empties (bottles) stored on another which we had to squeeze past to get to/from our room. The pool is tiny and crowded with only a few sun beds. the upper terrace is not maned or maintained so if you wish to use the gym, sauna or this gruby area for sunbathing (as the pool is packed) then you will have to keep going two floors down to the bar to get drinks yourself. We paid for two 'Delux' rooms but both where of very poor quality. The 'free' wifi is as good as useless and I suspect this is because they want you to pay for the two faster services - It just seems they have forgotten how to trear their guests. One of our sons had a mini chocolate bar from the mini bar and we were charged €10 for the pleasure. Do not be sucked in this is a poor and at best, a two star hotel look else where. We loved all of the other hotels we stayed in and very, very rarely write bad reviews.

The hotel is in a great location near the port and the old town, built on the side of the castle. Our room had a lovely terrace overlooking the sea, the room itself was quite small but very nicely decorated.

    Nothing it was lovely!

We booked a superior room with sea view, but what we got is a room with very-restricted sea view. Actually, I could see the sea between the roofs of other houses, but that was very disappointing. I think they should be honest for the information of the room, like some other hotels that provide proper room information such as partial sea view etc.

Location was perfect. Staff very helpful , especially Laura. Only complaint was that my friend could not get brewed decaf. Breakfast was a good value.

Location was great. Easy walking distance to the beach, old town, and the port. Literally next door to castle hill which made doing that walk/hike first thing in the morning (when the light on the water is best for pictures) super easy. Hotel facilities are good with a nice quiet pool and deck as well as a patio seating restaurant that has overall really good food. Had an exceptional fixed price three course menu there and a decent lunch. Sea view rooms are definitely a must. The hillside location/views right at the end of the promenade are awesome.

Overall the service at the hotel was good. The restaurant staff was great and the pool area was immaculately clean. The room turn up/down was solid. The reception staff could use improvement though. It's not that they were mean or rude, they just weren't very friendly either. Compared to other four star hotels we stayed at on our trip to France, this desk staff was unhelpful and dismissive.

Pool area is tranquil. The restaurant terrace is very cozy.

There are three elevators to get to the room. And walk a quite a bit to one elevator to the other. Room was too small for the amount of rate charged. Even I did not eat a breakfast, they have charged to my room already. I caught it before I paid. Jacuzzi and sauna are located in separate floors. 4th floor terrace, cannot see the view as greens grow too high, blocked the view. Not worth the amount I paid. Disappointed.

Fantastic location. Amazingly friendly staff. Seem to have perfected every area of hospitality and can't see any area where there is need for improvement. A wonderful experience.

Good location at the beginning of promenade, friendly staff, vide range of services provided, nice room with comfortable bed, modern bathroom.

You have to take elevators and also stairs to get to the room, which takes you about 5 min every time.

We liked the view and the fact that it was very close to old town.

The website and the pictures on it are quite different from what the place actually is. The facilities are stale and crammed and the service at the lobby could have been more welcoming and warm.

The staff were extremely efficient and welcoming. The view from our room was spectacular. The food was particularly delicious. The hotel is very special as it is hidden away from the hurley-burley of city life and yet is only a minute's stroll away from the delights of the old town. A real oasis.

This is by far the best hotel in Nice because of the stunning sea view and location. My parents (75 and 73 years old) enjoyed it a lot. The team at the reception is very helpful and we got a nice surprise as an upgrade to a room with a sea view (probably because I stayed there before). The atmosphere is very special as well and the rooms have a unique touch (not standard). All very nice - for people who love and value the small details!

the only point to make here: 19 Euro for the breakfast is OK - all high quality but there is not need to charge an extra 6 Euro / 10 Euro for extra eggs. This is something I would recommend to change.
