Small rooms

The welcome from reception staff was good. Nice is very lovely of course but particularly high prices took the sheen off, they even outstripped Rome which has far more of interest to see and a warm Italian welcome! Nice is really only worth a day trip.

Breakfast was not included and really for the price we paid should have been. The room price soared because of the 11euros for breakfast and expensive parking opposite the hotel which in Nice really complulsary.

Location, couldn't be better positioned in a quiet side street. Minutes from the Promonade des Anglaise, short stroll to the old town, shops and restaurants. About a 10 minute walk to Nice Ville train station Also room we booked lead on to a terrace, not private, but during our stay we only saw one other person using it.

No atmosphere in the bar, always empty. Claims to have a wonderful cocktail list, but the night we had a drink the girl who was looking after the bar didn't know how to make the cocktail (a bloody Mary - not difficult). In fairness to the girl she also had to attend to reception and help other girl in dining room, which was also empty all the time we were there.

Bedrooms and bed linen clean - linen changed often. Bathroom clean and modern and towels changed daily. Location very central and near promenade as well. We asked for different room s on day 2 and we were facilitated. There was a fridge in the room . .

The bathroom in first rooms we got had 5 steep tiled steps up to it. I found this very dangerous as there was no handrail and not suitable for our age group. The web site did not show this bathroom. No airconditioning in the smaller of two adjoining rooms. No plug in the smaller room either. No complimentary water on arrival. No food either as we arrived on a late flight from Cork - I would have expected something simple to be possible even in a 3 star hotel. The seating area for guests was small only 2 double sun sofas practically at the front door. There was a terrace on our floor - very basic and view not good. The breakfast on day 1 was poor for 11E each. - the croissant was cold and tough and the bread was not crusty. We took breakfast outside after that for as little as 5 to 6 E each. The dining room looked ok but seemed extremely warm so we did not eat there after our breakfast trial. The hotel was very basic and quite expensive - breakfast being extra and no real comfortable place to relax for short periods if we wished. it cost over 1200E for 2 people which is too much. I would not return to this hotel. Most 3 star hotels that I have stayed in have all the little extras now. No bathroom supplies except the fixed soap and shower dispenser which were difficult to use.

1. Location, location, location 2. We upgraded to a room that shared the common terrace which made our stay acceptable.

Staff were nice but the owner is not suited to front desk business

Clean room, comfortable bed, nice shower, great location and good value for money. 24 hour reception

The only small gripe was with the man that was sometimes behind reception (I think he may have been the owner). He had a real attitude and was quite rude / unhelpful on two occasions. The women that worked there were very helpful and friendly though, and we didn't let the above effect the enjoyment of our stay.

The stuff was very friendly and polite! The room was clean, was washed everyday! I liked this hotel, especially if you would spend all time walking around the city!

The bed was uncomfortable for me!

The location was excellent, near the beach and the shops, the entrance and bar were welcoming, the bathroom clean and well designed.

The manager was reluctant to help and our special request for 2 beds was ignored.

Ottima la posizione vicino al centro e al mare e con un parcheggio a pagamento di fronte. Stanza pulita.

Il wifi in camera non prendeva. La finestra affacciava su un tetto all' interno di un cortile

Salle de bain très propre, refaite à neuf. Situation : quartier sympa et proche de la Promenade des Anglais.

Déco très vieillotte. Chambre très petite, un peu étouffante à cause d'une déco à rafraichir. Accès internet wi fi impossible (pas assez de débit ?). Literie (matelas) molle.

Ottima posizione, nella zona ristoranti e vicinissimo al mare. Personale gentilissimo.

Colazione più che mediocre a 11 euro; meglio andare a farla fuori.

Personalet var helt OK, atmosfæren god. Hyggeligt hotel, Glimrende beliggenhed
