Good personnel. Big Room for 2. Separated toilets from shower. Calm. Good location. Price 80€/night could be high for some people (Bordeaux's hotels are expensive) The shower room was open to the room (but not the toilets): this could be uncomfortable for some people (not for me).

The main attraction was the attentive and charming staff. A minor quibble - the walls and ceilings are not very thick so at night it can be a little noisy.

It's not too hard to get main spots around Bordeaux. Hotel staff ignored responding and giving additional information after booking. You need to help yourself or asking people around you to assist.

The owner spoke good English and was very welcoming. The location is superb. The bedroom was large with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also spacious with a good shower. The carpet seem to be some sort of coconut matting that wasn't too comfortable for bare feet. The furnishings in the bedroom were a little tired. Oddly the bathroom had no door and no extractor fan. There was also no English language TV.

Location was good. Close to most things? The room was relatively clean. Didn't smell. Hotel was old and the pictures on the Internet were not representative of the room we had. It was very small. The shower was very tiny and only had a shower curtain which was far too long for the height of the shower. As we were only staying 2 nights I didn't bother trying to find another hotel. I wouldn't stay there for any longer period of time. There was no climate control so the room got very warm and you couldn't leave the window open due to the noise from the street below. Noise levels were ok if you kept the window closed.

location - I select the hotel as there is a WIFI service, however, when I stayed there, the service was not available. I talked to the staff which she confirm the service, but it was not. Next day she checked by her self and said, sorry the service is off....... the price as well does not match the service.

Central location The hotel Porte Dijeaux was closed for a month - sign on the door but no details as to what to do next! Luckily a man in a nearby bar told us there was a sister hotel round the corner so we went to enquire there and they had details of our booking. Room was subterranean with bars and the window, smelt damp, no loo door

- the location is great: directly at Place Gambetta (public transportation directly to the airport) and at the entry to the old town. In just 5 minutes you are at the cathedral and in 10 minutes at the river. - the staff is very nice and helpful - I could check in even before the official check-in time, the staff was very helpful and flexible

Emplacement idéal en centre ville. Chambre agréable et bien décorée. Lit confortable.
