Pretty good location, set back a couple of minutes from the harbour - quiet. Great view from the breakfast area and pool. Handy garages for the car. Pleasant breakfast buffet. Lower rooms experience quiet a bit of noise from the upper rooms - toilets flushing, people walking around and pulling suitcases/trolleys, etc. I don't like paying extra for everything - breakfast was extra, the garage was extra.

Very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The staff were courteous and efficient at all times and respectful of my basic French (they all spoke fluent English, so they were very patient with my French!) Generally the hotel was clean, well appointed and provided a relaxing atmosphere with a superb environment. The view across the bay at breakfast was something to be behold. We stayed during mid-December, but would hope to return in the summer. What didn't we like? I know it's all subjective, but upon opening the door of the (classic) bedroom for the first time it struck me as a little small, with the double bed appearing to dominate the floor space. However, it was extremely comfortable, clean and well serviced. This was only a first impression and certainly did not last. I'd return to that room no problem.

Never wrote review for a hotel, but this place is worth spending a minute. I have quite a lot of experience with hotels – from hostels to really fancy stuff, both for work and holidays and this place really exceeded my expectation of BestWestern-S. Perhaps that was very personal experience which can be different for everyone but I like it absolutely. I was travelling around France on my own in low season. As the main reason was to see the country – make photos etc. and just relax - my policy was to minimise spending on accommodation as what I needed was just a bed. However after several “good charming budget” places in Paris and Nice (which were not bad in general and were not hostels) I felt I just needed “normal” hotel and I am ready to pay a bit more for it. To say truth, I was hesitant to book Best Western first, as I had experience with them before in at least two other places (quite oldish plush stuff, no names) but in January most of the places in Cassis were closed, and there were not much choice. So I bet that in Cassis bw should not be too old and I think I totally won it! :) If you read this review some time in 2020 perhaps they are already old and plush, but in 2012 they were quite new and certainly had comfort and local style and charm. The room was small, so don’t know for longer stay on holidays with hiking equipment but for travelling alone it was just just just perfect. Add extremely friendly staff, all charm of sunny winter and little bath – what else a girl needs for escape? And that was not expensive at all and totally worth it. Sorry for long text which may sound like a promotion but, once again, they really made the end of my French trip! Totally recommended.

Location is good, short walk to the port. Pool area is nice and breakfast area is overlooking the pool which is nice. Staff were very nice It is not practical for a family with a baby. Rooms are too small, with the baby cot we had no room to anything. No elevetors so you need to lift the stroller each time you want to get to the room. Parking is not free and it is also tiny and difficult to park. If you come with a baby I wouldnt reccomend this hotel. In addition, the rooms were not very clean.

Great location, only a short walk from the main port of Cassis. The rooms are tiny, barely adequate. But we made do.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable (even if a bit small). The location was just above the town with a wonderful view. Quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

Tiny room, but clean, quiet, and moderately priced. No soundproofing within the hotel. One hears people in the hall, the toilets flushing, all the usual noises that go with a low-cost hotel.

The staff were incredibly nice and went above and beyond to help us, including the manager giving us a lift to marseille when they couldn't get us a last minute taxi to the station. We were sceptical of the Best Western tag, but this felt much more like a just a local hotel run by lovely local people. Its not a flash hotel, but the location is super convenient, the view from the terrasse is great, and the room was very comfortable and clean. They recommend calling them to book - they will match any rates you see online and will make sure they help with any special requests for your room.

The beach at Cassis is beaurtiful and the shoreline is postcard perfect. There are many nice shops and good restaurants. The staff were rude. A brochure in the room advertised free coffee in the lobby, but there was no coffee. The brochure also said breakfast was from 6:30 to 10, but when we showed up at 6:30 it was not available. The staff was rude and hovered over breakfast as if we might eat too much.

The location is stunning. The view from the lounge/breakfast/bar area to the sea is magnificent. The pool looked very well maintained and clean even in winter and the public area was stylish and comforable. The breakfast was very well laid out and the quite high price of 13 euros was acceptable for its quality. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very small. We were anticipating small rooms having read the reviews but the facility was even smaller than anticipated. We were surprised that the bedroom and bathroom sizes were compliant with Best Western *** status.
