Nice quiet location good free parking nice bars/restaurants . close to ferry & old walled town.

The hote was charming in every respect. The room and bathroom were comfortable & spotlessly clean and the balcony a wonderful feature. The reception area/lounge/bar etc are really bright & relaxing. Madam Chantal was extremely welcoming & friendly & advised us on places to eat. The hotel has an marvellous position & offers excellent value for money. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to all types of visitor.

I do not have any criticisms but would suggest that yoghurt is offered instead of (or as well as) fruit for breakfast.

Excellent location (a good alternative to staying inside the walls of St Malo), very friendly and helpful owners, lovely breakfast, good value, easy parking, good restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay again. A serendipitous hotel.

Very helpful and attentive staff. Upon arrival a cup of tea was brought up to our room. Lovely location overlooking an sea inlet. Not far from the Ferry Terminal.We would certainly recommend it. As a sea view room was available we were given it at no extra charge.

Friendly approachable staff, small family run hotel, clean, ideal location in quiet area over looking the sea, plenty of parking and competitively priced.

I needed to stay only one night in St Malo and get the ferry to uk nest day. Hotel La Rance was a perfect choice for me, the hotel was only five minutes drive from the ferry port. It was clean, quiet, and the owner, Chantal, was most welcoming and kind. Noticing how tired I was after a drive of nine hours to get there, she brought a try of tea and biscuits to my room, which was most welcome! I will definitely will stay at Hotel La Rance during my next trip to St MAlo

Very nice hotel the owners were very helpful, the sea view room was very clean and nice decor. We will stay again if visiting St Malo, close to ferry port.

Lovely welcoming owners.Extremely helpful.Hotel has a very homely relaxed atmosphere and the decor is light and airy despite being an old building. Very picturesque area and beautiful views across the water.Couldn't have been easier to get to the ferry. Wished we could have stayed longer than overnight.We will certainly stay again if in the area.

The bathroom was rather cramped and dated.

The hotel has a splendid location at the harbour. There are good restaurants nearby. It is also close to the ferry terminal and therefore ideal if you have a ferry to catch in the morning. The proprietors are extremely helpful and friendly. There is everything you could want in a small seaside hotel.

We were warmly welcomed by Madame and given a pot of tea. We left before breakfast to catch the ferry to Portsmouth but there seemed to be a good selection of food on offer.

Great location in St Malo. It is an easy walk to the walled city. Substantial breakfast and there is also a very good restaurant next door. We didn't have a sea view but the room was pleasant enough.

The service was so personal and attentive. Wonderful and clean facilities. A pleasure to stay at the hotel.

The location excellent and was directly on the beach near a medieval tower and within a short walk to the old medieval walled city of Saint-Malo. The staff was superb, friendy and spoke very good English. The hotel was very clean and the furnishings were very confortable and modern. It is a very excellent value and I would definately stay there again.
