Lovley small hotel that tries to please. Mdm. speaks english. Warm and welcoming. rooms are stylish and functional with a nautical design. Overlooks the Rance and out to the barrage. A short walk around the bay to the ferry and the old city. Quiet with adequate parking outside. Would use again.

A little gem. Clean, comfortable, unpretentious. Nice view, quiet location, delightful staff. Selection of restaurants for evening meals within 1 minute walk. Ideally located for the ferry. We will use it again.

The hote was charming in every respect. The room and bathroom were comfortable & spotlessly clean and the balcony a wonderful feature. The reception area/lounge/bar etc are really bright & relaxing. Madam Chantal was extremely welcoming & friendly & advised us on places to eat. The hotel has an marvellous position & offers excellent value for money. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to all types of visitor. I do not have any criticisms but would suggest that yoghurt is offered instead of (or as well as) fruit for breakfast.

Very welcoming and helpful hosts, it seemed nothing was too much trouble. Bright and clean hotel, great position. Breakfasts very good. shamble we only stayed one night, but we will certainly return for a longer break.

I needed to stay only one night in St Malo and get the ferry to uk nest day. Hotel La Rance was a perfect choice for me, the hotel was only five minutes drive from the ferry port. It was clean, quiet, and the owner, Chantal, was most welcoming and kind. Noticing how tired I was after a drive of nine hours to get there, she brought a try of tea and biscuits to my room, which was most welcome! I will definitely will stay at Hotel La Rance during my next trip to St MAlo The location, the owners attitude, the cleanliness and the value for money.

We were made very welcome by the friendly and helpful owners. Our room was clean and well-equipped, with a large and comfortable bed. We stayed here overnight in order to catch the morning ferry and we were given instructions and a map to get to the terminal easily in the morning. The breakfast was excellent - I was able to get exactly what I needed.

Lovely welcoming owners.Extremely helpful.Hotel has a very homely relaxed atmosphere and the decor is light and airy despite being an old building. Very picturesque area and beautiful views across the water.Couldn't have been easier to get to the ferry. Wished we could have stayed longer than overnight.We will certainly stay again if in the area. The bathroom was rather cramped and dated.

Great location in St Malo. It is an easy walk to the walled city. Substantial breakfast and there is also a very good restaurant next door. We didn't have a sea view but the room was pleasant enough.

The location excellent and was directly on the beach near a medieval tower and within a short walk to the old medieval walled city of Saint-Malo. The staff was superb, friendy and spoke very good English. The hotel was very clean and the furnishings were very confortable and modern. It is a very excellent value and I would definately stay there again.

The staff/owner of the hotel provides very good service. She would try her very best to help you in every way. Daily breakfast has varieties and is sufficient enough to start your day. Though it´s not in the town, it's quiet a nice walk to get to town from the hotel. Clean and tidy hotel - good value for money. :)

This hotel was absolutely great! The price is really good considering the quality. It's a 2 star hotel that deserved to be more! Really confortable room, a cozy environment, really clean and great decoration. I wish we had stayed longer in this hotel. The owner was very nice and received us so well! We liked the location as well. There was nothing that I didn't like. Lovely.
