Warwick Reine Astrid    

Vores værelse var godt, der var godt med plads og masser af plads til tøjet. Vi var placeret øverst i hotellet og følte ikke, at vi generede nogen, trods vores 3 børn. Dog manglede der service til en person på værelset, trods vi havde bestilt til 5 pres.

Priserne på morgenmaden. Gardinernes ophæng op på værelset, det var meget skrøbeligt.

Excellent staff, good quality rooms, felt like a big hotel without the noise/mass of people of a big hotel. The rooms/suites were very comfortable.

Not very central / close to the main downtown area but very walkable and public transport was easy to use.

Very good feeling of the room and the spaces. Very relaxing. A feeling of coming home. Too short stay.

Big appartment with two rooms, kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. Far from the city center but close to parc de la tête d'ôr (really nice if you're travel with children).

20 (!!!) euros for breakfast. There's no cafes in the area! Restaurant is closed for a weekend and closest restaurant is 20 minutes walking distance! We were in Lyon for a first sunny weekend - everybody went to a parc in Lyon. It was impossible for find a parking space in the hotel area because of this. So, we had to park in the hotel.

The premium suite was spacious and comfortable. TV in two rooms with lots of TV channels. Good and friendly service from personnel.

In a hotel like this, WiFi internet should be free for guests, not 14,50€ a day!!

“Fantastic” This is a fantastic hotel to base yourself in Lyon and a perfect location to settle in and relax. My wife and I stayed here with our two older children, we had a huge 1 bedroom room apartment with a double fold-out bed in the lounge area, full separate kitchen, dining/lounge and foyer. It also had heaps of storage areas for suitcases etc. a free laundry was provided for guests to use just down the hall from our apartment and this was put to good use after a few weeks of traveling. Because we self catered, I can’t comment on the dining experience at the Reine Astrid but the facilities looked fine. As the hotel is located near the park and the free Zoo we hired bikes from the Velo’V service and toured the area. This was also our preferred option to gain access to the “Old Town” via the river bank bike paths. (No car traffic) The Warwick Reine Astrid has easy direct bus access from the Part Dieu railway station and Lafayette Shopping Centre or you can do what the locals do and walk everywere. This is a very clean well run Hotel with friendly staff, I would strongly recommend the Warwick Reine Astrid to anyone visiting Lyon.

Location was ideal for my trip, reception staff very attentive and polite.

Very good located, easy to find in a lovely quartier of Nice. Our room was just correct for two persons. The guy at the reception was very helpful to us.

Even we stayed in the 2nd floor and closed the door, it was still quite noisy, very pity.

Hello, we were stay in the hotel 2 nights in november 2012, the room was good, but we had a big problems with the free parking for ou car, if I will go to Lion next time, I triy to book some hotel in old center

Spacious rooms, kitchen facilities, helpful staff, good location

The wifi payment system was so complicated I ended up skipping it. There were only two of everything in the kitchen - inviting a friend to join for a chat over a simple meal would be a problem. (As expected, the kitchen is under-equipped in general - don't plan on much real cooking there, and breakfast will be without toast) No corkscrew !?!?!

The rooms were very well put-together, and a good price for the size, location, and quality of the rooms.

I really, really hate the design of the bathtubs. The weird half-wall that swings in/out is common in France, but I don't understand why - it's the worst shower wall thing I've ever experienced. Please just use a shower curtain, or else have a full glass wall with sliding door. The internet wasn't very reliable. It worked okay for normal surfing most of the time, but occasionally would slow down for no apparent reason to a point where it was annoying to load pages with any pictures or video. It was almost useless for videoconferencing, which I like to do in the morning to talk with my wife back in the US before she goes to bed. The hotel breakfast was very expensive (20€) for the value - it was a decent-quality buffet, nothing else. For that price, I expect some more personal attention, like a made-to-order omelette or waffle station. After getting it the first night, I skipped it the rest of the week and just grabbed stuff from cafes.

A super quality apartment hotel, superbly placed very close to the parc. I could not believe the quality of apratment for the money.

The service, the very very large room. I was actually going to write to them directly and thank them. It was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Please extend my thanks to them !

The matrass - it was awful

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you to them. It was pouring with rain and they were happy to organise a taxi and for us to sit and drink coffee while we waited in their restaurant.

It was a bit out from the old town.

A clean and spacious apartment, with separate sitting room and kitchen. The location was good, on the edge of the park, with shops, bars and restaurants and a supermarket close by, and walking distance (20 minutes) to the Old Town. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The area was questionable

Set in a very nice part of Lyons, the facilities were excellent, we will be back!
