A small and friendly hotel, Du Bellay Hotel enjoys a central location in medieval Blois, a charming town set on the banks of the Loire River between Orleans and Tours.
Score from 220 reviews Good
Location, easy stroll to city centre and railway station.
Rooms over restaurant exhaust fill with cooking oil smells if window is open. Breakfast -breads, coffee and juice.
For the price this met all requirements of a solo traveller that isn't into luxury. It is 5 minutes walk from the train station, 5 minutes from the chateau and the old part of town so very handy to everything. The room and bathroom are a good size; it would have been nice to have a hairdryer and kettle in the room, but you can't expect everything for the price. Friendly owner.
With wooden floors, other people coming and going in the hall is a bit noisy, but otherwise as expected from a budget, basic accommodation option.
Close to the best parts of Blois. There was good WiFi
Lack of facilities in the room.We had to ask for towels. There were no hair or body shampoos. Loo paper was sparse. Clearly, the room had not been properly inspected. Other people's plumbing could be heard .
Some staff have poor attitude. No lift.
No drinking hot water device

Very, very central, friendly staff and not noisy.
The man on reception was friendly
Bed was very uncomfortable No parking Room was very hot In a less desirable area of the town Very basic
