Hotel for families this was a great choice. We needed 2 rooms and we got 2 rooms with a joint "hang out" area. It was perfect.

No bikes @ hotel or anywhere in town. We came on train and hasdno car and taxis don't come to this town! If they rented bikes you could easily bike the 13K to Amboise. The bus only ran at noon to there & didn't come back to this town. Bikes would of changed the entire thing. There are 5 restaurants in town and they are not all opened on the same day & STOP seating you by 8:30. It's a beautiful town but a short stay in best

    location

    - narrow , tall stairway, no elevators, .but this is normal in this kind of country house. It is not allowed to eat in the room, if you do, it is 15 euro extra charge on the bill, and pictures are not allowed.!? The closest market is 7 km.away.

Lovely old building, lots of character. Pleasant grounds if you're there in good weather. Owners very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. Very clean, lots of space. Lovely views from the room.

Shower not brilliant but we were on the 2nd floor of an old building so not surprising.

A lovely old building in pleasant gardens with a great little pool within five minutes walk of the stunning Chateau de Chenonceau. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very intimate and homely. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the hotel restaurant. All round an ideal one night stop over en route back up through France.

The decor was rather tired and shabby but we already knew this thanks to previous reviews and agree with those previous reviews that the good points outweigh this one criticism.

Friendly and helpful staff. Electrically operated blinds. Spacious room. Reserved a family room and was expecting 1 room with 4 beds. Instead got 2 rooms each with its own shower. Had a problem with 3 hornets in one room, they were swiftly and efficiently dealt with. Breakfast was 7 Euros each. Not cheap but was fairly good. Excellent wi-fi. Rooms were clean. Hotel only 5 minutes walk from the Chateau and several restaurants also within walking distance. Lovely lawn at rear of hotel. Good parking

Slightly tatty decor in bedrooms. Could have done with more coffee at breakfast. Didn't use it but swimming pool looked very small

The host and hostess were very warm. The location is fantastic, you can walk to the Chateau Chenonceaux. The on-site restaurant was very good.

No air conditioning, it was a hot night when we were there.

The location was good, it was central in the village which made it easy to walk to dinner and such. It also had somewhat secure parking in the evening when they shut the gate.

The pictures make it look very charming but the furnishings were very tired and there were no curtains on the window in the bathroom so when you stood in the shower (with no shower curtain) you were giving a show to anyone who may have been standing in the gardens outside! :) Had to use the towels strategically!

Large room for family, large grounds. Simple welcome, basic breakfast.

a dangerous swimming pool. Above ground with the ability to stand on the edge. All around the edge was concrete. My children being very young could not climb out so were not at risk, but we saw a child of 5 standing on the edge and jumping in. I dread to think of the consequences of a slip. Sorry but this shouldnt be permitted. Whole hotel is in need of repair/money spending on it.

Great location within walking distance to chateau. Nice lawn in the back.

Very steep stairs to climb to bedroom floor. The hotel has seen better times, could do with a makeover.
