Wonderful place to stay, the bed was just to die for. It is an old house and is quirky but just wonderful, the breakfast was brilliant and the host welcoming. We will definately stay again
Monique was incredibly welcoming and very helpful; she recommended a few excellent restaurants and a great Chateau for cognac tasting. Great breakfast and a really lovely pool. Bed was very comfortable.
Elegant, huge bedroom and fabulously comfortable bed. The swimming pool is lovely as are the gardens.
There is nothing going on in the local town!
La Sauvageonne is a beautiful place in a very quite rural location. It was easy enough to find with our car's built in SatNav and booking.coms instructions. The owners were very friendly and kind. Madame telephoned a local restaurant and made a booking for us to have an evening meal. The restaurant was superb too, what a discovery that was. The continental breakfast we had was lovely.
The hosts, Michel and Dominique were just fantastic - nothing was too much trouble The beds (and pillows) were wonderfully comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The grounds are so lovely We loved our stay there - stress free, quiet and so relaxing
There was nothing to dislike! Amazing - we loved our stay there and would be pleased to go back again
We stayed in a very spacious, newly renovated apartment with impressive old-fashioned furniture and an excellent bathroom. Every morning we were served a tasty home-style breakfast by the nice and welcoming owner Monique. Small but OK pool. Countryside was nice with vineyards and small patches of forest. All in all, this place exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4-day stay.
Location was a bit remote with no restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
What a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful breakfasts, friendly & welcoming host, large spacious rooms & bathroom, beautiful grounds. We will definitely return.
Moniques warm welcome Enormous elegant room with view of manicured garden and pool Tranquility Beautiful decor Classic French architecture
Everything about our stay was superb to excellent. The property was restored manor house which is beautifully decorated and furnished. Our host, Monique, was a most hospitable, welcoming woman who provided us with an excellent suggestion for dinner as well as local sights to visit.
We had difficulty finding this property as our GPS was not up to the task. I would recommend using the lat/long setting.
We only stayed one night but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Monique could not have been more helpful offering us a welcome drink to booking a restaurant for us. The adjoining rooms we stayed in were perfect for a family with young children and we were allowed to use the heated swimming pool and hot tub even after we had checked out. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
