Beautiful location with very well designed, spacious and comfortable rooms plus private terrace overlooking the grounds/lake. The restaurant and particularily the breakfast room in the old mill is wonderful. Again attention to design detail with all was a pleasure. Very good breakfast choices, and for the most part dinner was very enjoyable with interesting presentations of "Maison Bouche" - the best Gazpacho ever - and I don't usually eat this as I cannot cope with peppers - but loved it. First course for both my husband & I was superb - scallops and foi gras - supreme. Excellent wine and local Champagne. Great Hostess too who was helpful, friendly and amusing - and for those of us lacking in French language - she spoke very good English - thank you. This is a gem of a hotel that is well worth the finding.

Dinner menu is at fixed prices only - we opted for the most expensive at 48Euro. Would have liked "a la carte" to make other choices. But you do have a small selection on each fixed price menu. However my main course of XXL shrimp (two) were, sad to say, overcooked. Plus the sauce that the vegetables were presented in was bascially a mild curry type - not to my liking - so my fault that I could not translate the French description. My husband had a steak - this was superb, tho as he was feeling unwell could not eat it - so I did - no complaints for that at all - excellent. But as my main course was returned virtually uneaten - I was not asked why? Other observation is that the hotel is not easy to find - even with sat nav - a few more road signs would be helpful - but maybe the local commune will not allow?

We have stayed here before and would recommend to anyone. The hotel is in a very peaceful setting and the accommdation is 5 star. The staff are very friendly and will do anything for you.

Every thing, the location was magnificent with a lake with blue water a wonderful tranquil spot with amazing restaurant.We will certainly be back.

We arrived for a one night stopover on our way back up from the south of france to Calais. This place is an absolute gem. We really wished we could have stayed for longer. It's a perfect retreat with absolutely lovely rooms. We stayed in the apartment which is actually a house - it was superb.The place is in it's own grounds in a really lovely setting and yes it is a bit out of the way but is well worth it. We would definitely go back and would love to stay more than one night or at least arrive a bit earlier to take in all the ambience of the place. Highly recommended.

Lovely setting, excellent standard of accommodation (we had La Maison Clara) and very good food. The restaurant is overlooking the river/ watermill and within the grounds is the blue lake....stunning!

Bit pricey for the food, although there are plenty of courses which can justify the price of 48 euros per person for the decouvert menu. There is a cheaper set menu available but we did not like the choice of food on there.

Everything about this hotel screams LUXURY! The food is outstanding French cuisine at it's best and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The rooms are excellent all with a balcony view of the lake. Cant praise it enough.

The welcome and the facilities were first rate. The room was well appointed and had a tremendous view. The location although well and truly off the beatedn track was well worth the journey. We use it to breakour journey from Provence to Zebrugge on our way home and it was perfect.

For the duration of our visit, absolutely nothing.

The Staff were very helpful, warm and friendly - we were telephoned by Natalie on our journey to the hotel to check we could find the location all right. The food was really wonderful & especially good for vegetarian Gerry. Our room, 12, [the cottage] was exquisitely decorated & very comfortable.

We liked everything - the only thing was not being able to extend our stay because they were fully booked!

The staff , our room with it's comfort and enormous TV with BBC news, the breakfast and dinner and the two different dining areas, the garden and the architecture . Oh and the friendly dog!!

Everything about our stay was excellant. All the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our evening meal and service was first class.

We have stayed at quite a few hotels on our trips down through France to Spain and we can say with all honesty this hotel is The Best!

Nothing not to like!
