liked the location, nice and quiet, lovely view across the lake walks around the lake safe parking good breakfast friendly manager no other staff to be seen.
fact that no coffee shop/restaurant when we visited at end July, you would expect something, however we seemed to be the only people staying that day/night........ were recommended a nearby coffee food place at other side of lake on camp site....... it was plastic chairs in pop up tent so not suitable on a coldish night. next nearest place to eat an Auberge, some 5 mls away, very nice - expensive, Euro 92 for x2 of the cheapest set meals; no other place to eat in radius of 12 mils.... we thought this unusual for time of year. this is the only reason we are not recommending La Terrasse des Oliviers ..... shame really as we travel to ~Fr. a lot and this would have made an excellent overnight stop...... in future will go back to B&B Hotels,
It felt and was most welcoming. The manager/owner and staff were so helpful and friendly. Would love to return and spend more time there. Perfect location for all, especially families with young ones as there is a man made beach and part of the lake has been sectioned off for safety. Just truly lovely. What more can I say?
Clean, great staff
Ubelievable but true: we arrived at 2.30 pm and had had no lunch. Owner Pascalcalled his friend Benoit who had a restaurant. Last one, whose restaurant was already closed, re-opened it for us and cooked us a steak frites !!! That is service ! Amazingly friendly owner Pascal. Nothing was too much! Beautiful property, very clean, spacious room (we had the "chambres des maries"). Confort is ok although I missed a hairdryer. Owner even put a tv in our room ! Diner for 15 euro is good and basic but just what you need.
It is not really a hotel. It is more a place for weddings or seminars. Having a cooker and sink in the room was not very nice to us but thats our opinion. All is a bit bare. Missing a lounge or so to have a drink. Besides the nice view on the lake there was nothing to do and hardly anybody there. Shame!
Great place with a great owner who took real pride in his place. We were there for the 24 Hours of Le Man and it was close to the track but away from the craziness that is Le Mans. Beautiful setting next to a lake and comfortable room.
You will need a car. The town does not offer much in services and most everything is closed early.
Lovely view of the lake when outside the hotel
I was not given a room facing the lake There postal address when put into a GPS was not the location of the hotel. So after looking for some time I had to stop at a house & ask for the location.
Very pet friendly. Our dogs had an injured paw and the owner went out of his way to help dress the wound. Also out of season on a French public holiday he made sure we were provided with an evening meal. Looks a fabulous place with a beach by a lake for a family summer holiday.
Could have done with extra pillows but very minor point
