Absolutely wonderful building - approach is lovely. Decor is modern in historic building and they've managed to retain its character whilst adding everything you would expect. The breakfast room is particularly beautiful, and the breakfast selection good. Rooms are HUGE with fabulous bathrooms. Loved it for a weekend champagne break and would definitely go back.

The pool, "heated" was so cold it was impossible to swim even on a hot spring day.

Everything. If there is a more elegant, relaxed, comfortable hotel we have yet to find it. Quiet with beautiful furnishings and decor. The Staff are courteous and helpful. They have mastered the skill of being there when you need but never being about just for the sake of it.

Everything - one of the best hotels I/we have ever stayed in. We will definitely be returning and have already and will continue to recommends it to family and friends.

My wife and I really enjoyed our overnight stay. The location on the edge of town was good for a gentle ten minute walk down the Avenue de Champagne into Epernay. While located on the main road into town the traffic was light so didn't disturb our sleep that evening. Only disappointment was not having the option of a restaurant in the hotel for dinner. However the breakfast in the Orangery the following morning was a delight. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay and would recommend the hotel.

We stayed here on Valentine's Day after a long day of visiting Chateaus in the Loire Valley. Beautiful room and comfortable beds. The hotel booked us a reservation at a wonderful restaurant, last minute as we checked in at 7.00pm. We had a perfect Valentine's Day dinner thanks to this hotel. I give this hotel a 10 out of 10. Perfect stay in all regards....Ladies that work the front desk are friendly and very helpful. They also booked a tour at one of the Champagne Houses for us the next morning.

It was a really lovely experience with everyone being very welcoming. Their "concierge" service was also very nice, as we were able to dine very well although it was late already!

Excellent facilities in rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and well kept, free WiFi is handy. It's well located for the Avenue de Champagne and quiet.

The only real negative is that it doesn't have a restaurant on site and they are a 15-20 min walk into the main part of Epernay, but it's a nice walk and the hotel staff will helpfully book a table for you.

During our stay at this hotel we were treated as family of the hotel. You could ask them what you wanted and they explained or organised it as professionals. The room was comfortable, clean and gave you the feeling of living as a landlord in 1900 with the luxury of today. Breakfast is a must do, the person who takes care of the breakfast is make home made youghurt and white cheese.... just amazing.

La Villa Eugene is an excellent hotel. No expense has been spared in its furnishing and decor. It is charming, the staff are extremely helpful and courteous, and the breakfast buffet is magnificent. Check out the Champagne bar for a quiet glass or bottle; the range of champagnes on offer is outstanding. We will certainly stay there again. It is a little out of the city centre, but the 10 to 15 minute walk is interesting, and helps to counter the large breakfasts.

A suggestion. We would like to see simple tea and coffee-making facilities in the rooms. Nominal expense involved, but very welcome after a day's champagne tasting!

Excellent location, decor and welcome.

The Staff were very friendly & Efficient. The Hotel is situated within walking distance of the Major Caves in Epernay. Very nice swimming pool & terrace.

Nothing easy parking

The room was lovely and the staff very helpful. Epernay itsself was gorgeous and being on the Ave. de Champagne was fantastic.

Nothing really although I wasn't that keen on Epernay. There just wasn't that much to it

The room and general decor and furnishings were very stylish. The bar was comfortable. The pool was quiet. The evening staff were very friendly and more than welcoming.

We arrived 50 minutes before the stipulated check-in time and were told to come back at 3pm. There was no air conditioning in the bar. There were also no coffee and tea making facilities in the bedroom in the WiFi signal was very weak and we could not get on-line. Breakfast was over-priced.

Superb up market boutique hotel. Great place to base for visting the champagne district. Helpfull staff, xcellent breakfast room and food. Rooms themselves are very large by French standards.

Front rooms face a truck depot across the road - try and book a room facing the rear or sides as these are spot on with garden views.

Beautiful villa with a swimming pool and parking. The staff were very friendly and ensured we were well looked after. Our room was lovely and had a nice benefit of a sound dock so we could play our own music. Very spacious with plenty of history.

We booked a superior room discovering on arrival that the room is in attic conversion with very low ceilings and no proper windows (only small roof openings) - not by any means superior. Shower was not working propery and neither was WiFi. After complaint we were moved to a better room the following day. If you are booking a superior room do check with the hotel what the condition of the room is.

Superb location and friendly staff, nicely decorated rooms in an ideal location.

Whilst cleanliness of the rooms was generally very good, areas such as the bathroom fan and ornaments on top of the wardrobe had not been dusted for a while, which considering the staus of teh hotel as a luxury break should be done regularly.
