Score from 56 reviews Wonderful
Our room was large with a very good ensuite (separate toilet), the hotel sits in lovely gardens has a huge car park and is within easy walking distance of the town centre which has loads of fabulous shops, galleries, brassieres and boulangerie's there are even a couple of museums, and is a good location from which to explore the St Remy de provence area.
The gates are locked at 8.00 pm every night, and between 12 noon and 2.00 pm, do not forget you entry code for the gate and rear door!
The staff was so lovely and helpful. Breakfast was great and you cant beat the location.
Cant think of anything.
the location - outside of town, it was an older provencial hotel with beautiful grounds and public interior spaces, great breakfast, helpful staff
We were not seated in main restaurant but in the dining room away from other guests where there was better atmosphere. They seemed to insist we eat there. The meal was okay, not great
Convenient - cheaper than in St Remy. I recommend the breakfast - great garden and it is easy versus hunting down coffee etc in St Remy.
No complaints - good value.
An easy 10 minute walk to the cafes of St Remy. Town en fete with bull running (basido) and bands playing. The arena is 300 m away and puts on great camarguese bullfights.. Nobody gets killed!
The location is fantastic, right next to Glanum and the Van Gogh trail. Great room , spacious and very clean, we had an extra bed for my teenager. Rustic charm and atmospheric, great swimming pool.
the breakfast is expensive for what is on offer.
Nice rooms, small but efficient. Bathroom bigger than expected. Nice terrasses. Pool clean
The restaurant is not that good. The fisk was cold, the hot goat cheese cold and the desserts too old. Go into town to small restaurants like Chez Fanny or La Maison
The patio/terrace out back was wonderful for dining and the pool area was beautiful. Great location near but not in St. Remy. The Roman ruins are literally next door. The staff was friendly.
Marvelous stay at Villa Glanum. A charming inn, wonderful food, beautiful setting next to Roman ruins and Van Gogh historic sites. What a wonderful place to experience Provence!
Location was excellent - quiet part of St Remy, but within short walk of two of the main attractions - the roman ruins and the asylum where Van Gogh spent a productive year. Also not far to town. Restaurant was excellent.
Couldn't have asked for a better location for what we wanted to see. Right across the street from the mental hospital where VanGogh spent a year and painted 140 paintings. You'll see where he painted his irises, Starry night, olive trees, and many others, and there's a recreation of his room within. A 10-minute walk to the center of town that's hopping at night, and there's a pool. Breakfast had tons of good food, and we were able to get an affordable room from Booking.com just a few hours before we wanted to stay. Villagers were very friendly here (as was our experience throughout France)
Either get to breakfast early or take everything you need before you sit down. It says it's till 10 but at 9:20 they took away essentials like the hot milk for coffee, the tea bags, the cereal, etc. They'll bring it back for you, but it's a pain to ask. The bed was pretty hard and shampoo/conditioner aren't provided.
The pool area is sublime . The rooms are small but stylish with a spacious bathroom. We had a few problems but the staff immediately responded to fix them. There is lots of parking available for guests and visiting friends
Breakfast was a little unimaginative but adequate.
Room in the garden with own access and the swimming pool
Beautiful quiet country-like grounds. Restaurant on- site. Convenient parking.
Rooms are a little small but that is the norm in Europe.
Garden by the restaurant.
Staff was so so. Service seemed very impersonal. Could not rely on service hours of the restaurant for dinner. Food was good though.
Lovely situation and grounds. Outside restaurant lovely.
Reception staff were too casual. My wife broke her ankle while we were staying there (not on hotel property) and they did not move a muscle to help. We ordered breakfast in our room and it was completely forgotten; OK the lady doing breakfast said she had forgotten but she was working by herself and had too much to do.
central location nice and quiet surrounding good breakfasts exellant restaurant on site
small and basic rooms
