A unique hotel in superb surroundings - huge unusual bedroom and bathroom. Staff were interesting and interested. Sadly we found the breakfast, although truly excellent, far too expensive. Also the dinner was beyond our means although obviously fantastic.

Excellent position in the old walled part of the city. Secure car parking.Beautiful, well furnished historic building with indoor swimming pool. Excellent staff, especially the multi-lingual manager. High cost. Expected gormet standard food, but very ordinary.

Lovely situation and beautiful hotel. Swimming pool was a bonus, though the water was a bit on the cool side. Staff very helpful. Free wi-fi was a bonus and, although you had to pay for parking, it was useful allthough access can be tricky. An ideal place for a short break. We'd saved the restaurant until our last night, but it was over-priced for what you get. For €44 I would have expected cheese and a dessert, not either or. We went for the cheese and got two little slivers of three sorts. The meal was nice enough but not value for money. At the Arcades next door, for €1 extra you got a wider choice, an imaginative cheese trolley and dessert. We had breakfast on one day and it was fine.

Kind and helpful staff; lovely room with a most comfortable bed; attractive location; good spa facilities. We dined in the hotel one evening, the food is superlative and reasonably priced; we congratulated the chef. Breakfast is taken under a conservatory ceiling facing a mature garden within the quad that makes up the hotel, so whatever the weather, thee is a pleasant indoor/outdoor feel to the experience. It would be nice to have a tea caddy in the room

La Villa Mazarin is situated in a beautiful medieval walled town within five minutes drive of beaches. The staff were friendly and very eager to ensure that we were comfortable. The building is delightful and our room was spotless. We had a standard room with double doors opening onto a shady courtyard garden right opposite the pool. When I saw that the breakfast was 15 euros I thought that it seemed expensive until I saw the huge choice of food available, everything fresh and delicious and you could have as much as you wanted. The underground parking was handy but it does cost extra and very tall cars would not be able to fit in. I'd love to visit this hotel again.

beautiful rooms and lovely garden. Nice relaxing pool and jacuzzi. Great location within the walled city. Jacuzzi was not hot enough. Other amenities such as spa/massage would have been very nice.

We have stayed here before. It is an oasis in a beautiful historic town. The staff are superb and attend to your every wish. The spa facilities and swimming pool allow you to burn off the calories so you can enjoy both the hotel and local restaurants. The rooms are very well appointed and include a small fridge in your room.

La Mazarin was a real surprise. It's a converted town house with lots of character. The main house has a beautiful stone staircase, all the rooms have great wooden doors with proper keys. The pool area is under cover but opens out into a beautifully maintained garden. The hotel is very small so services are limited but the staff couldn't be more helpful. Aigues-Mortes itself is well worth a visit and only 40 minutes from Nimes airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. (Family with four children aged 7,10,16 & 18)

Hotel was beautiful! Walking through the reception into the gardens was such a shock as they were so lovely - the description on the website doesn't do it full justice - and the swimming pool such a bonus. Staying at the Villa Mazarin was probably one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had and the price of E.120 a night for a double room was very good value for a hotel of this quality The indoor and outdoor dining areas looked gorgeous but we preferred to eat in the town square which was a lot cheaper, although we did have the odd coffee and drinks back at the hotel which were reasonably priced. Would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit a luxury at an affordable price.

We have never stayed in a beautiful hotel within a walled town. When you drive into Aigues Morts you are completely amazed at the size of the town all contained within the ramparts. We felt really privileged to have stayed in such a wonderful setting the garden area was particularly beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast but felt that the evening meal could have been more international with greater choice of food.

The courtyard and adjoining pool was very comfortable, shaded and relaxing after walking around the fortified city. The whole hotel was like a shaded comfy refuge, just behind a wall from the sights and shopping of the city. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant because we were traveling with children who wouldn't have appreciated it, but for couples it looked very interesting. Breakfasts were fresh, simple, and plentiful.
