Epernay is an easy drive from Paris or take a train.

Epernay is an easy drive from Paris or take a train. There is a lot to see and do and beautiful countryside and small villages to explore if you are into food and wine it is a paradise but remember bookings are often required moths in advance for some tours. Be aware it does not target the budget traveller so be prepared. there are cheaper meal options and great shops with ready prepared french classics to re heat. Overall a great place to Base yourself. We try and Stay at La Mignonette it is well located with parking and your own kitchen and laundry. it helped stretch the budget.

Amazing place if you love Champagne but also if you want to learn more. The newly opened museum is very useful to understand how nature and human genius created the Champagne success. People are generally very kind and smiling. We had the pleasure to have a tasting in Champagne Michel Gonet which we suggest. The only bad experience has been with the lousy service of the "Brasserie de la Banque". We booked a table 3 days before going there because of a special occasion and received the confirmation. We entered on the booked evening at 19.50 and at 20.28 no one came even to ask us if we wanted to drink something. We simply left and the old person at the entrance (who showed us the table 30 minutes before) even did not notice it . Fortunately there is the place "Brasserie Le Progres" in face of it. We have been happily there three times in three days

Our friends recommended we stay in Epernay rather than Reims...

Our friends recommended we stay in Epernay rather than Reims and I am glad we did. Epernay and the main street which is world heritage listed is lovely to stroll up and down, and it's easy to pop into a champagne house for a quick drink. Make sure you book your Champagne House Tours months in advance as we left it late and missed a few of our favourites. We drove to Reims for Veuve, Pommery and Mumm and Moet and many others are in Epernay. Reims was about 30min drive and the champagne houses provide parking.

Compact town with excellent restaurants and everything you would want if you are an Oenophile with the emphasis on the Fizz! If you are self catering they have a big SuperMarche on the outskirts and 2 Mini shops in the town. Chez Max Restaurant is a must eat if you are in town Also good Bus service if you do not have a car.. Easy to use and cheap

We've been to Epernay before and we loved it.

We've been to Epernay before and we loved it. There are HUNDREDS of champagne houses all round the area and most are open to visitors if you book in advance. The "Route des Champagnes" is a wonderful driving tour of the area, that will take you to hidden gems and beautiful villages. There's good cycling in the Parc Naturel de region des Montagnes de Marne as well. Just be careful of the farm machinery!

You have to be interested in champagne to truly enjoy Epernay. The World Heritage Site, The Avenue of Champagne, has the grand Champagne houses, which offer tours and tastings. Other than that, there was not a great deal to do. We stayed 2 nights, thus one full day, which was about right.

The apartment was quite large and bright as well as quite central and an easy walk to restaurants, shopping and Champagne Houses. There were 2 small grocery stores nearby for basic provisions. The host was easy to reach and took care of minor concerns. She also provided a nice surprise for us. Although Brigitte’s English and my French is limited, we managed to communicate quite well through a Translation App and I would definitely return to this lovely Epernay apartment rental.

The flat is perfectly located near to the Avenue de Champagne and a short walk to the centre of Epernay. It is very spacious and beautifully decorated - it felt like a real home away from home and I could happily have stayed there! It has all the facilities you might need: comfy beds, great shower & bath, huge TV, enough kitchenware for basic cooking, induction hob and oven, and a large fridge. Would highly recommend!

Clean, comfortable budget hotel. We booked a room with beds for the kids and we’re not disappointed. Huge room, basic, no frills but very clean and fresh. Location a little outside the centre, but with a car & bikes, that was a good thing! Welllocated for a walk along the river or into Epernay. No staff on arrival, but automated check-in/access straightforward. Breakfast was good.

We booked a suite, it turned out to be a great choice. At first were a bit skeptical since hotel personnel is only available between 7 am to 7 pm, outside that window you received a code; it was easy to handle. Parking at not extra cost. Bottom line, either you go for the high end hotels and pay 1,200 euros or stay at this location from where you can ove around easily.

The hotel was perfectly situated in Epernay, close to the Avenue de Champagne and we could walk easily to restaurants and shops. The parking opposite is no longer available but an underground car park is close by. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was good too.

Beautiful boho chic condo in the heart of Épernay, steps away from Moët and Chandon. Lot of effort and detail and it makes for a very pleasurable stay. Christina was very responsive and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed; read high chair for toddler, iron box, chocolates etc.

I expected a very basic hotel in the center of Epernay. Nothing fancy. And that's what I got. I liked the small cute balcony next to the hotel sign! The location is great! Staff is friendly. The room was decently clean (but not squeaky-clean).

The location of La Cave is perfectly situated at one end of l’Avevue de Champagne, and allowed us to explore the downtown area of Epernay by foot. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. Super yummy breakfast in the restaurant.

The hotel is exquisite. It’s centrally located, and it’s part of the Esprit group, so it’s no accident that it met every expectation. The view from room 3 was wonderful. Charming and tasteful, all in one place.
