very convenient location. Wish you had a house wine & less complicated dining arrangements. I was tired, had driven a long way, wanted a nice glass of wine & good dinner. Did not really need the full gastronomic experience, but it was very impressive. see above. Perhaps you could cater for a humbler palate and a traveller, not just the gourmets.

Nice grounds and common areas. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was really good! Our room was not the same as the rest of the hotel. Some of the rooms had been completely renovated but ours was only 'spruced up'. The toilet ran the whole time, despite our comments to the staff. Also, we ordered some champagne by the glass at the hotel bar. They had no drinks menu to look over and only three types of Champagne by the glass. We went with the bartenders suggestion only to find out that they were charging 33euros a glass. So obliviously he picked the most expensive one.

Wonderful chateau extended and converted into luxury hotel with every facility. Very comfortable bedroom. Spectacularly good (though expensive) restaurant. Room rather let down by quite basic and old fashioned bathroom. The property is surrounded by fairly dismal urban sprawl.

The Standard Bedroom was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The exterior and interior style had attracted us being contemporary. However, the bathroom, toilet and wardrobe area gave the appearance of old fittings repainted into a contemporary style, which did not disguise problems caused by leaks in the bathroom effecting wood panelling. Our welcome on arrival was impersonal. The young Porter was polite and helpful. On check out we expressed our disappointment with the room and informed them we had no hot water in the wash basin late at night (until turning on the bath tap!), the wash basin tap spraying water when turned on. These comments did not appear to be welcome and no apology was offered only did we inform Reception at the time...we checked in at 2030 and found no hot water at 2230...with an early start next morning...we were hardly going to call Maintenance or a room change! Disappointing. With the Restauarant closed the Hotel appeared empty and souless.

The grounds were beautiful, beds great, bathroom excellent. Staff entered room unannounced at 10pm when we were in bed!!! Supposedly to provide towels. No room service, only option very expensive 3 michelin star reataurant. Found Reims city centre lacking greatly in quality food especially on a Sunday. No hotel folder in room. Very little english information and a tv channel for every spoken language except english (except bbc World ~ yawn and cnbc - boring)

Wonderful room, huge, well appointed, impressive styling. Location. Too far out of town, not a nice area opposite a petrol station.

All was very good. Had a great stay and if I will travel again to that area this hotel is top on the preference list! Breakfast should be better and more varied for the price. It is the only minus point though.

The food and service The food is good-but not as good as it has been-I've been a frequent visitor over the years. Service in the restaurant is, as ever, genuinely world class, but there are changes to the menu which have taken out some of the fun and which may be for cost reasons. Notably the "gourmandises" are quite dull by the standards of before.

Great afternoon tea, lovely deck area with stylish furniture. Rooms were large & comfortable but not as funky as the rest of the hotel. Good bath stuff to use. Didn't eat in the restaurant but seems to attract lots of wealthy diners judging by the types of cars in the car park. Great breakfast choice. All staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel is on the outskirts of Reims & off the tram route.

Set in beautiful gardens just a short ride from the town centre. Nice relaxing outside space. Very friendly and helpful staff. No tea / coffee making facilities in the room and tea / coffee in the bar was pricey.

The restaurant was very satisfactory. It should be worth while to stay in this hotel for this dinner. We stayed in Room 11. It was spacy, clean and very modern. House keeping was very quick and frequent. Hot water was not sufficient at our checking in, which was repaied during the dinner. Big painting wall of Ingres' nude was not calm in such a room. Shower handle was too modern to use smoothly. Shower sprey control was not equipted and it always sprayed like a fire fighting. I would suggest that you equipt shower room door or curtain.

The restaurant was perfect, the menu very innovative. The public areas are beautifully designed. The rooms were a good size and covered the majority of facilities you would expect. The bathroom was a little disappointing.

“I usually don't comment on the hotels I stay in, but I want to mention this specific one. I understand the owners live on the site, and it shows by the warmth of the welcome, the quality of the design and furniture, the attention paid to details (homemade yoghurts as part of breakfast, jams from local producers), and the niceness of the staff (I was travelling with my mother who is going on 100, and is a slow walker, and she very kindly cared for). A pleasant surprise, I wish we could have stayed longer.” Christian, London |
