The menu was fantastic and the price of wine and food was reasonable
The rooms are over heated and I cannot get the air con to work.
Well decorated and furnished. Stylish. Fairly convenient if Reims is your destination. Just off a main road about ten minutes from the motorway.
1.The location is a bit strange - the hotel is just off a main road in a quiet, ordinary, residential suburb well outside the city centre. Its pretentions seem out of keeping with it's modest surroundings. 2. The room was oppressively hot. Thermostat didn't seem to work. 3. The wi fi kept dropping out. 4. We were not greeted by reception upon arrival - three reception staff seemed pre-occupied with paperwork and phone calls. We were dealt with only by the bell boy (who got our key etc) which was odd for a five star hotel. 5. The hallways looked like they were not hoovered regularly. 6. The bed was wide but short - I'm 6'2" and my feet stuck over the end. 7. The shower was over the bath rather than walk in - not a big deal but not what you expect in a five star hotel. 8. There was one small bottle of mineral water provided complimentary in the room (rather than one each). Again, not a big deal but unnecessarily penny pinching considering the room rate. 9. The tasting menu was outrageously priced at euro 255 each. We choose it because we hoped for a unique experience. We were disappointed. It was delicious in parts and original but ultimately over elaborate. There was too much to eat - the desserts were overpowering. Considering the total price - euro 897 for two people, one night plus dinner (including three glasses of champagne between two as an aperitif and two glasses each of fairly modest wine, by the glass, with dinner) - we expected better from the hotel and the restaurant 10. Breakfast would have been euro 33 each extra but we skipped it based on the experience of the dinner
Surroundings were wonderful hotel hard to find in dark being a corner site with entrance off a side road. Staff member awaiting us to alight from car to take luggage. Delicous great choice, although expensive breakfast. Nicely kitted out bedroom
Staff over attentive! Menu description given in English not very good Tried selling Truffles not to everyone's liking! Very expensive dinner menu Too many mirrors on walls so staff can see if they are tidy or attractive Bath too small no separate shower.
The restaurant and the service at the restaurant is excellent. It was not the first time we went there and they had noted our comments from last time so they adapted the menu on their own initiative.
We have been there 4 times in 12 months. I would have expected a gesture (or even simple mention in the welcome letter in the room) of aknowledgement of this fact.
Everything about our stay at L"Assiette Champenoise was superb. We were celebrating a 40th wedding anniversary and everything about our stay was fantastic a truly wonderful experience.
Great friendly staff, amazing service and food to die for!!
Everything, the hotel is magnific.
The Wi-Fi signal in the room, perhaps that cause it was in one corner of the building.
Very helpful staff responding quickly to my every single emails before arriving. Totally in love with the room while stepping in. When I was still exploring the signed welcoming card and dessert on the coffee table. The staff helped with our luggage asked if we smell something weird. We agreed but it was a small problem and we didn't mind. He insisted to upgrade us to a bigger room. I also love how they provide separated male and female toiletries. Of course dinner was excellent! Breakfast was very delightful too!
The spacious room and the excellent chief and excellent Services.
Four of us spent the evening in the bar and ordered various drinks and a few snacks. All went well until the last drinks of the night when two of us decided to have a single malt whiskey before retiring for the evening. We asked for a list of single malt whiskey and the barman instead asked us to come to the bar to choose from the bottles on display. We selected a Balvenie Double Wood and ordered a glass each as I often buy this brand and find it good value for money. A bottle normally retails for around 45 Euro and good bars generally charge at the most 10 Euro per glass. The barman did not advise us of the price and we trusted him (and the hotel) to be fair in the pricing. When we checked out we discovered we had been charged 33 Euro for each of the two glasses. Quite a rip off and when queried about this the hotel did not reply.
Wifi quality, no signal in some areas of the lobby
A regal beau arts chateau on the edge of Reims that has been expanded into a luxury hotel. Fabulous, large, well appointed room. Huge modern bath. Private parking. Excellent breakfast buffet. Cuisine and service in the restaurant is truly worthy of three Michelin stars.
It's a bit of a walk into the center of Reims passing through a somewhat unsafe looking neighborhood.
The room was excellent we had a suite with a terrace,it was a nice size with a bath and walkin shower very comfortable room
Separate toilet room was a plus but there was no hand basin to wash your hands so had to walk to the other end of the suite to wash your hands. Having stayed and dined at this hotel twice before we were really looking forward to the the new 3 Michelin stared menu, but we were somewhat disappointed both with the food and the cost, there are lots of michelin starred restaurants in the area that don't cost €245 per person without drinks
The rooms, the food, the wine
Parking was in the open - and the conkers were falling!
Lovely large and comfortable room. We had the room service menu on the terrace as the main restaurant was closed. This was excellent. Also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool.
The ventilation in the bathroom wasn't to our standard. About 1.5 miles from the town centre.
Our Superior Suite was exactly the same as our friends Superior Double, but cost a lot more. The Restaurant prices are outragious
There were no tea making facilities in the room and when we ordered some water and milk to make a cup of tea they failed to bring a cup and so by the time they came back with a cup the water was cold. The shower was Luke warm, it was impossible to get any real hot water. They also left the bath mat in the shower and when we came to use it it was soaking wet!! The bath robes supplied had broken belt loops. We did point out the problems and were given a tiny bottle of water as we left the hotel. I felt they should have reduced the cost due to the poor facilities we experienced. We also asked the staff to book a taxi to take us to GH Mumm and then back. When we finished our tour no taxi arrived and we had to phone for one ourselves. It is safe to say We will not be returning to this hotel which was overpriced and provided poor service.
The restaurant is one of the best three stars michelin that I know. The hotel and its servicw are excelent too.
room gardens staff
couldn't get booked in to the restaurant not much within walking distance
The garden and grounds were lovely. Our bathtub was huge, and attached to the bedroom. Then we had to walk across the entire suite to get to the bathroom.
The lights were controlled by a touch screen device which often did not work! The food was mediocre, and very expensive. Drinks were even more overpriced. There was not enough staff. Reception seemed to always have a line. Room service took about a half hour. The King Bed was two doubles put together. All the in room seating was very low to the ground, as though it was designed for children.
Rooms are lovely.
I had a bit of a shock at the price of dinner as i han't realised that it was a 3 star Michelin restaurant. Very nice although on a hot day it was just too hot. The reception staff aren't that good.
Perfect destination or stop over
We enjoyed the dining but felt that it was very expensive for what you received
The room, hated the toilet that was far too small, also on our second day we didn't have bath salts & tissues at 265.00 a room it was not great room service
The hotel is lovely but you can't get dinner in the restaurant , as fully booked Room service menu has 5 items on it in the end I had 2 pizzas ordered to be delivered in bit of a joke really for. A 3 Michelin starred restaurant
Need to concentrate a bit more on the guests in the hotel not just about restaurant
We were given a free upgrade from a basic room to a luxurious suite. As good a dinner as I have ever eaten.
