Hôtel l'Aigle des Neiges  

We loved the hotel, nice design, it's location, the staff was very helpful and friendly, very close to the lifts and the breakfast was good and sorted. Near shops and restaurants as well, We also liked to relax in the pool and sauna area after skiing, and must say that it was really nice to receive chocolate eggs as a surprice in the room this easter. Would love to come back, and would recommend it to anyone else.

The Staff were amazing, we loved the convenience the ski room and service offered. It was a ski in ski out and wonderful. We loved the jacks bar and the nightly entertainment. The staff were helpful and extremely accommodating. The spa and pool/steam room were great. The treatments affordable and professional. The hotel was very clean as were the rooms.

Our only minor issue was the set up in the junior suite. We had a teenage son downstairs on the fold out couch and when the bed was opened there was not much room to pass and our loft bed upstairs offered no privacy. However we managed and enjoyed our room nonetheless. The bathroom was modest but nice.

It is very well located near the ski slopes. It gives good ski services and contains evening music and relaxing oportunity. The room was cleen, modern and quiet.

Very friendly and helpful staff as well in the hotel as in the ski shop downstairs.The fact that a ski-shop and depot is inside the hotel site is very convenient. Nice central location.

Second restaurant was not functioning and main restaurant was reserved for clients on half-board.

We couldn't sleep because of the noise every night. Loud music, banging the doors, shouting etc. We learned that it was actually the hotel staff having their nightly parties! After complaining, we were promised that the noise will stop. It didn't. Also: if you have allergies, stay away. There was a smell of mold in the bathroom and air ventilation was poor. For eur 250 per night, our expectations were not met.

Proximity to the slopes, position in the town and the comfort/luxury.

Colleagues paid 250 EUR per night and i paid €365 per night for the same period. Can you explain?

Rooms were small but very well appointed. Excellent ensuite bathroom. Wireless internet worked well. Cleaning staff were very efficient.

Asked on 3 occaisions for twin beds but still got a double - even asked check-in staff on morning of arrival and they still failed to respond. Bar closed too early for a holiday destination & no night porter service. Breakfasts were poor.

The service provide by the staff, especially the concierge, was excellent. Always attentive and available and willing to help. They all spoke excellent English but put up with my insistence on utilising my schollboy French! The bar area was funky (think China White) and the rooms although not large were comfortable - except for the bed which was both comfortable and huge. The restaurant was good. The ski service and lockers were excellent. It's a good hotel and one of the nicest I've stayed in so close to world class ski facilities.

Yes I know its close to the slopes in one of the most fashionable ski resorts in the world but its about 50Euros a night more expensive than it should be. However, I would go back even at those prices so I guess that means they've got it just about right.

The kindness of personnel (except on departure due to poor communication, resulting in being billed an extra day)

The fact that I wasn't told by the personnel that I could have avoided being billed an extra day for a matter of 4 hours. Also that TV had a poor selection of channels and didn't work during 2 days. Also that the swimming pool was freezing for 2 days due to a breakage of the heaters.
