Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Very noisy during night. Room got too warm making it difficult to sleep.
Friendly staff. Great location. Large, clean, comfortable rooms.
Walls were pretty thin - we could hear snoring next door.
We got caught in a shower and as we returned rather wet to the hotel they kindly offered to dry our clothes for us.
Location was good. Easy walking to all shopping, sites, restaurants in Bayeux. Parking was easy and free on the street.
Very basic, small triple room - price is high due to demand in the area, but it is nothing special.
staff, location, copious breakfast and satisfactory comfort level for the price
the lending library in the lobby, stuffed animals on the beds for the kids.
drinks on sale in the lobby a bit expensive.
Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Handy location with main attractions of the town all within walking distance. Comfortable bed and clean facilities. Good breakfast.
The staff was so friendly and welcomed us immediately upon arrival. The family room was perfect for our family of five. Everything is walkable in Bayeux from the hotel. The breakfast was very good with a great e had been in Paris for 5 days prior to Normandy, this hotel and town was a nice break. Better croissants than we had in Paris!
As a documentary film crew traveling with a 92-year-old WWII Veteran and his family were loved our experience at Hôtel Le Bayeux. One floor made this great for our veteran to access his bedroom. Breakfast is upstairs, but family or staff and easily bring it to someone who can't move easily. Thankfully, our veteran walks around just fine. The beds were extremely comfortable. The host brought us to her home so she could speak with our veteran and thank him for his service. The town of Bayeux is breathtaking and we wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was fantastic.
The staff were great very helpful and nice.... The location was brilliant
Lots of water noise from plumbing
Location Location Location :)))
If I really have to say something, I would suggest to plan to refurnish the bedrooms, they're a bit old-looking.
A very simple, welcoming hotel. Reception staff are very helpful and speak good English. Well located; the tapestry museum is 5 minutes away. Parking at the hotel limited but there is plenty of off street parking near by
The rooms are quite basic and not cheap. Comfortable chairs and tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms would be welcome.
The hotel was small and intimate. The staff were very helpful, booking a tour at the Memorial Museum and calling a taxi to get us there.
The room was small in US standards but it was fine. Since it was cool (and I believe there are not too many hot days) the room was ok with draft coming in from the window. If it were a hot day, It could get rather stuffy.
Lovely people and great location.
Close to centre
Noisy could hear every other guest. bed very uncomfortable
The staff - so nice and helpful.
The walls were very thin so you could hear all the noise outside your room.
Location is unbeatable, right around the corner of the cathedral, walking distance to the Tapestry and less than 15 minutes away from most historic locations including Omaha Beach and Sainte Mere Eglise. Bayeux is a great location for those history lovers specially WWII and D-Day followers. Breakfast was ver good. Staff was very helpful and almost everybody spoke English very well. Hotel and town's ambiance was totally dedicated to honoring and thanking D-Day veterans.
We are a family of five and the room accommodated us well.
The garden is very beautiful, breakfast was very good, decor of the "main house" is very nice.
We were in the upper level of the "carriage house" which was not yet fully renovated, so it still smelt of fresh paint and door locks didn't work.
The hotel is located close to the tapestry, museums, cathedral and excellent restaurants and bars. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful in every instance. We were recommended a light and projection show on the 'liberty tree' at night which was both profound and moving. Room was nice, clean, light and spacious.
Good selection for the breakfast
This property is close to all the sights in and around Bayeux. We found the staff went out of their way to help with anything we asked. Patricia phoned several times to confirm our D-Day tour. Our room was clean and serviced each day. The breakfast was well worth the €10. Again the staff kept the selection plentiful no matter when you arrived.
Personnel were so helpful and willing to make our trip comfortable and fun. Breakfast was good. Great location in town and easy to get to Normandy beaches.
Need better reading lamps next to bed and wash clothes without asking.
The helpful staff. The location - close to town and station.
For a three star there were so many more likes than dislikes
Loved the big room with space for all four of us. Thought breakfast was very good, lot of good food for money. More expensive than we usually pick, but really liked everything.
