Score from 35 reviews Wonderful
The location. Quiet, close to the town landmarks. Very friendly, competent and helpful staff.
The staff is amazing. Made us feel so welcome and comfortable and they were very knowledgeable about the area. They were incredibly helpful in helping us plan our day and make suggestions about WWII sites and museums. Their friendliness made our stay memorable and wonderful. The hotel is older, but yet charming, very clean and comfortable. Much to our surprise they gave us a larger room than we booked thinking we'd feel more comfortable in it. How nice! The breakfast was really good. Plenty of food so was able to get a good start to our day and kept us full to dinner time. The location is great. Walking distance to the cathedral and plenty of restaurants.
Vito at the front desk was extremely helpful, even drove us to a tour when they wouldn't pick us up at hotel.
Location was fine as was the breakfast.
Dingy characterless rooms. Water from shower was a mere trickle. Room price per night was outrageous.
Service was excellent and friendly, room was very comfortable and quiet. Hotel is very well located. Would stay here again.
Being picky but shower - it was either cold or super hot. And the shower was very small.
Rooms were fairly clean; staff was kind and helpful
Beds soft and uncomfortable; hallway smelled like mold; could hear every single conversation in hallway and next room. Overpriced for what it is. Wouldn't stay again unless I had no choice.
Front staff were very friendly and helpful.
Staff were really helpful, the room comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were great!
Not having tea / coffee making facilities in the room.
Welcoming staff very nice and accommodating. Room immaculately clean. Excellent, full breakfast. Good location.
Noise from hall. Walls are a little thin and I, a light sleeper, could hear the early risers coming and going.
Location and staff
We had a room with a double bed. We would have prefered a queen size.
The hotel is conveniently located close to the center of this small town. Very nice and helpful staff.
The hotel is cheaply built and dated. It has sticky plastic carpets and flimsy walls. That's all fine as long as it's cheap. It is not.
Location is great to reach the mont st michel, bikes available to ride to the destination.
nice service, location, breakfast
private parking limited in space, alternative offered at 10 minutes walking
From the friendly welcome, the cleanliness of the rooms, the refrigerator in the reception with everything from water to champagne for night time drinks. Hard to fault, would recommend and stay again if I'm back in the area.
Very limited car parking
Good location five minutes from the cathedral, very helpful front desk staff.
Constant noise from guests and staff stamping past. I got very little sleep all week. Facilities were also very basic. This is a one, not three star hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Pillow was thin and uncomfortable
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Very noisy during night. Room got too warm making it difficult to sleep.
Friendly staff. Great location. Large, clean, comfortable rooms.
Walls were pretty thin - we could hear snoring next door.
We got caught in a shower and as we returned rather wet to the hotel they kindly offered to dry our clothes for us.
Location was good. Easy walking to all shopping, sites, restaurants in Bayeux. Parking was easy and free on the street.
Very basic, small triple room - price is high due to demand in the area, but it is nothing special.
staff, location, copious breakfast and satisfactory comfort level for the price
the lending library in the lobby, stuffed animals on the beds for the kids.
drinks on sale in the lobby a bit expensive.
The room layout was long and narrow. You could barely walk down the narrow space between the wall and the beds. The toilet was in its own cubicle. Barely enough room to sit on the seat, not much room for standing. There wasn't any ventilation in the toilet. The shower was so small that if you turned, the water shut off. There was very low water pressure. We stayed here for three nights, we had two rooms, two adults in each and honestly we did not feel clean until we got to our next hotel in Paris. Our rooms were on the ground floor looking over the parking area. We had to keep the windows open, because it was so warm in the room. Each time someone went to their car they looked in. Some sort of a screen or shade that allowed air in and light out would be helpful. The best part about it was that when we left, we were about to pass our luggage out the windows to place in our car. We had decided to have breakfast at the hotel, after the first morning, we cancelled. There was not enough food for the amount of people in the dining room. The breakfast room was on the second floor, for someone who has a mobility problem, this was quite difficult. I chose the hotel based on all of the reviews. I now believe them to be created by people who did not actually stay at the hotel. I did not even touch on the beds, that we're so low to the floor, it was almost impossible to get up and down. I am aware that this is a very negative review. I do hope that it is published so that others do not have the same problems that my family had.
Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Handy location with main attractions of the town all within walking distance. Comfortable bed and clean facilities. Good breakfast.
The staff was so friendly and welcomed us immediately upon arrival. The family room was perfect for our family of five. Everything is walkable in Bayeux from the hotel. The breakfast was very good with a great e had been in Paris for 5 days prior to Normandy, this hotel and town was a nice break. Better croissants than we had in Paris!
