This former 18th-century post office is now a charming hotel in one of Bayeux’s oldest quarters. It provides a 24-hour front desk and is just a quarter mile from the Bayeux Tapestry Museum.
Score from 273 reviews Very good
The breakfast and location were great.
A little hard to find but that was my fault for not having a detailed map.
This hotel is in the center of the Town and so convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also loved the "honor system" for tea, coffee, cold drinks etc. Charming hotel. Would highly recommend.
Well located in town centre with private parking. Helpful staff.
separate toilet and shower room comfortable bed good wi-fi
a bit confused about the key
Convenience to attractions Clean Comfortable bed Price was great - just what we needed Staff was very helpful Local restaurants were great!
Curtains in room were sheer - we were next to parking lot so we had to hang a blanket. That is our only real complaint.
The position of the hotel with parking, just outside the town so it was quiet. Receptionist was wonderful, full of helpful advise for sightseeing and eateries. The double shower was great. A hot buffet breakfast. Will be back very soon.
we got there at night and were greeted by the most polite lady who spoke amazing English. Helped us with plans and locations.
Great place to stay if you are coming to see the D-Day sites. Room was small but very clean. Recommend taking the buffet breakfast too, as it was tasty, fresh and filling.
My room was on the second floor and there is no elevator, but the staff helped take my bags upstairs.
Breakfast was good and had alot of restaurants to choose from within walking distance of hotel.
TV stations were very limited, escpecially for English speaking people. Rooms were a little small.
Location; friendliness of staff.
The rooms are small with very little shelf and storage space.
Staff are friendly and appoachable. Weenjoyed ourstayand would recommend the hotel to everyone.
One of the best breakfasts, I have ever had in France. Wifi was very good. The room was cleaned to a very high standard every day
We enjoyed our time at Hotel Le Bayeux very much. Highlight was the D-Day Landing day tour with Gold Beach. Phillip was an excellent guide
The staff was warm and welcoming and helpful in suggesting dining places and in giving directions. The lobby had several amenities of which we took advantage (coffee/wine/microwave). We did not eat breakfast, but should HAVE....looks amazing.
Staff Buffet breakfast Location
Need better description and directions to find hotel. We arrived late at night on the train and walked around in the rain trying to find the place. Post on website to look for the flashing blue light sign.
Small rooms, smaller bed and the slanted roof on the 2nd floor room 21 made impossible for me to stand up straight will in the room for fear of knocking myself out.
The location of the hotel, and the friendliness of the staff, coupled with the substantial breakfast made this a pleasant short stay in Bayeux.
The size of the room and the shower cubicle could have made our stay more comfortable, but the room and everything in it was superbly clean. TV reception was also poor.
Warm and friendly welcome, Comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, Useful information in reception including local guidebooks. Convenient location - 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral.
We were happy but this is not an ultra-modern chain hotel. No bath, but for a couple of nights showers are fine.
Convenient; good value; great breakfast buffet; basic room
Location and parking facility. Variety of breakfast ingredients
Given a family room, with more beds than were required
The facilities were basic, but clean and quiet. The location was fantastic, just 2 blocks from the cathedral and 10 min walk from the Bayeux Tapestry. But the BEST thing about the hotel was the very friendly and helpful staff, who answered all questions and provided much useful information.
The hotel is older and not fancy, but certainly adequate for our needs.
