The room was very clean and the staff was very flexible and ready to help. The heating was poor. |

Rooms done out nicely, plenty of room although my son had to sleep on floor with pull out sofa bed. Good access from peripheque around caen. Had a bit of a wrangle over cost (as found price same for larger room when found direct website) - and it did turn out to be the most expensive hotel we stayed in for our short break, and it was no better than the rest, so a bit overpriced. Having access to kitchenette was lovely though |

It was very clean and comfortable - we walked into the town for an evening meal which was 20 minutes. We managed to get lost walking home so took around 50 minutes. |

NIce facility and room. Great location for visiting D-Day beaches/memorials, Bayeux Tapestry, and William the Conqueror's Castle in Caen itself. Stayed in the 4-person room with kitchen. Beds were comfy; double plus twin and trundle. Kitchen was fully equipped and nice; bath was modern; both were "cozy" for 6' 200# people. Rooms facing front of hotel have early and late traffic on a "main 2-lane" into Caen--another reviewer mentioned this. Solution: close the window after room cools down. Hotel has no ice machine if you plan to use a cooler--fridge in room will freeze a quart bag of water. |

I thought the desk staff were very helpful and charming. The girl also spoke very good English. The hotel was an overnight stop before the ferry and suited us very well. I found the furnishings in the room (dark brown) rather dreary and I'm not sure I would have liked staying more than one night. |

Good friendly helpful staff. Good facilities - shame no safe in room though The rooms need better ventilation, as we had our window open and the noise from the road was unbearable and kept us awake all night. |

Hotel staff very helpful. The suite was well equipped with fridge, microwave, cooker, coffeemaker etc. to allow you to prepare a meal or eat takeaway in the the room. Room was very clean No restaurant; breakfast serviced in your room. Breakfast was basic (croissant, bread, coffee and juice) compared to other hotels we had stayed at in France. |

It was bigger than most hotel rooms They gave up my reserved room to another family and then I had to negotiate to stay in another room, in order to stay there. I felt like they did not care about giving my room away |

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was of a decent size, with a kitchen area and they provided an extra bed for our 4 year old son as promised. Hotel is located a bit outside downtown Caen, but the bus stops right outside the hotel and takes just 10 minutes to the city centre. There's also a supermarket across the street that has all you need to make your own breakfast - if you want. A bit mouldy smell from the bathroom. |

Great value for money! Different! Spacious, recently renovated room with own kitchenette - a wonderful extra especially when travelling with kids. Breakfast was served to the room directly. Free wi-fi was a positive surprise to the kids playing PSP internet games... and the free parking was taken positively by dad after expensive parking rates in Paris hotels. Optimal location when travelling with own car (easy 5min access to Caen city center or to highways leading to coastal area). Very nice and helpful english speaking staff. Can warmly recommend this hotel. Nothing to complain really, but as a development suggestion could state that an own restaurant or in-room lunch/dinner service would further increase the attractiviness of this hotel. |

Outstanding room for the money. Small suite with kitchenette; very tastefully decorated. New room and furnishings. I arrived late - 22:00 hrs - front desk was closed but a phone there to pick up and instantly someone came to check me in. |

The room was clean and the breakfast excellent. The lady of the reception was very kind and helpful. There is a private parking, it’s better to reserve it in advance. |

Free internet, staff helpful in finding a restaurant, free parking, bed okay and shower bigger than most hotels of this kind! Easy to find with GPS. The room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. |

It was very clean, comfortable and easily accessable by road and foot. Just based outside of the centre of Caen, it was only about a 15 minute walk into the centre. Service and staff was very good. Lack of ventilation in the toilet/bathroom, and the bath was quite small. |

Breakfast was good value and excellent quality Very minor point. It is hard to spot the name of the hotel from the road. There is a large sign saying hotel but no hotel name. |

The room was big, and very cheerful. We had a family room, with a queen and a twin with a trundle that pulled out. Staff was very helpful with directions The location was farther from the train station than I would have chosen, there wasn't an easy way to figure that out on the website |
