The hotel is located in the middle of a medieval village, creating a nice atmosphere. There wasn't any advice in English in the hotel website that the restaurant would be closed during the time of our stay. The purpose of our choice is to stay in hotels with renowed restaurants. |

Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Interesting historic castle and location. Hard to find and drive to. Driving so difficult one did not want to have to leave again by car. |

Splendid! Lovely living room, balcony with spectacular view of provencal countryside, a big bedroom with 2 windows, allowing u to go to bed seeing moonlight, waking up by sunlight ... what a nice 2-story provencal stone house for holiday, I shall return to Junior Suite #18 whenever possible. Cagnes sur mer is a little village, but it's such a nice place to stay... charming provencal streets & houses, nice little church, chateau, and some great home-cook restaurants around. Steep & narrow roads. Excellent driving skill is needed. Fortunately, the staffs are able to help, even to drive on your behalf. |

Clear instructions regarding parking below the midieval village (its streets are too narrow for larger cars). Prompt attention to all requests. Room with a balcony and beautiful view of the sea. |

Historic nature of facility was impressive, beautiful views of town and sea, bed was comfortable, room was nice size, good value for money Hotel staff was not always present- went to front desk on several occasions and no one was there. When we tried to check out at 8 am, no one was available to check us out... it was a real problem b/c our car was parked in by another hotel guest and the hotel staff needed to move it. It took 20 minutes for the appropriate hotel employee to arrive to check us out. Warnings about narrow nature of roads and driving to the hotel should be much more clear--- we had a tiny citron rental car and had about two inches of wiggle room on either side of the car against old stone walls at some points of the road for the hotel. |

Excellent welcome. Charming management and staff. The restaurant was closed, so we could not experience the cuisine advertised. The location was inconvenient to someone who could not manage a lot of climbing. |

The hotel staff was very friendly! Our room was superb! Such a view!! The breakfast was delicious, and it was an adventure for us and our daughter to live in a medieval town. And we enjoyed the ride from the city to the sea. |

The Hotel was right in the middle of a medievil town, a superb experience. Its a pity the restaurant on site was not operating, the street leading to the hotel is extemely narrow, I would reccomend parking nearby at the Place du Chateau and walk across but well worth the effort |

The hotel location is just perfect. Close enough to the sea but not too much to hit the crowd. The historic city of Cagnes is amazing and we preferred it to St Paul/Vence; very authentic with fewer turists. Hotel staff was very pleasant and easy going. We stayed in different rooms and all were clean, spacious and charming. The hotel was perfect. Big cars like suv might have trouble to pass through some streets but there is plenty of safe parking close by. |

Good service, nice people, good food, nice ambience, good location. The drive to and from............a nightmare. The road for 200m either side is a major challenge. |

The epitome of shabby chic chateaux, without being at all shabby. Delightful and helpful owners and staff, beautiful location. The room had a lovely ambience with great views over Cagnes-sur-Mer to the sea. I would have liked somewhere to sunbathe, but the two public terraces were perfect for a quiet read or drink. |

Very helpful staff esp. Francoise & Michael. Upgraded room to suite at no charge just because it was available. Views to die for. Great restaurants nearby, short walk. Very comfortable room Can be difficult to drive to, steep hill and narrow streets; best to call ahead and ask for advice or assistance. Once there, car is not needed to reach restaurants, sites etc. |
