Very price-worthy, good location opposite railway station, good parking but be sure to bring coins. Parking cost was not per day, but per exit - we could park 2 days for 3.50

Le Carlton Hotel is a gem, located across the street from the main Amiens Train Station and on a large street with pedestrian shopping. There was a beautiful mural on the wall of our room depicting a view of the Cathedral from the St. Leu District. Le Carlton is walking distance from all major sites in Amiens and I highly recommend it!

The hotel is well-situated, and typical of an older french hotel. Although it looks a little tired in places, it is very clean, the rooms are a good size and the beds very comfortable. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel also benefits from having a bar and restaurant, although we only had breakfast, which was very good. At €70 for a double room and breakfast it was extremely good value. Visitors should be aware that the Rue de Noyon is a pedestrian walkway so cars cannot stop outside the hotel. However, the hotel has a deal with the Parking Perret almost opposite (accessed heading north along the Blvd de Belfort just after junction with the Rue Charles de Foucauld) where parking for 24h costs just €3.50. Also, there are some very good restaurants nearby, where early booking is advised.

Nothing to dislike. Stayed in the Holiday Inn Express opposite last time. The Carlton is better.

Hotel is conveniently located in Amiens for easy walking to sites of interest. Staff very helpful

The room was extremely small and cramped, the corridors and stairways were dark and dreary. Unable to have a coffee on arrival as nothing opened until 7pm we asked and were told no.

The Carlton is in a central position and very convenient for the antiques weekend which takes place in April and October. The restaurant is excellent and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds surprisingly comfy.

We stayed at the Carlton four years ago and loved it. The place is now looking a little tired and could do with a spruce up. No tea and coffee making facilities although I remembered this from the last time and took my own! TV channels could perhaps more for the english as I would think that a large percentage of their patronage are english speaking.

Good location, in the heart of the shopping area (if that's your thing). Very friendly and helpful greeting on arrival. Good self-service breakfast. Most staff friendly. Standard of food in restaurant good, but not outstanding.

The location was great as we travelled up from Paris by train and the staff were helpfully and friendly bearing in mind we don't speak French. All in all a very pleasant good value stay and very good food in the Restaurant

was a bit louder up until around 11pm but then went very quiet for the night. street cleaners were early but only for about half an hour each day, a small price to pay for the lovely clean environment and pedestrianised areas.

Excelent hotel and in an great location. Parking, cheap, local and only a minute away. We didn't stay long but would have no esitation in recommending the hotel for people with youngsters. Good restaurant next door; recommended. All in all a very pleasant experience.

The Carlton is an old building and the stairwells and rooms still have original features. The room overlooked the main square by the railway station but the double glazing cut out all the traffic noise and we slept pefectly. The hotel is very central and only a short walk to the cathedral, the hortillonages and the canalside cafes. The staff were very pleasant and the receptionist who checked us in could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Great location near Railway Station but 10+ minutes to the cathedral . Helpful staff with some English.
