Very good,
Score from 141 reviews
This hotel is located 330 yards from the center of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. This beautiful Provençal village remained very attached to a rich past and traditions. Le Castelet des Alpilles is an ancient large impressive house dating from the beginning of the 19th century. It became a hotel in 1952 and has been managed by the same family for 3 generations. You can relax on deck chairs in the vast garden by the shade of a hundred- year-old cedar tree. Hotel Rooms: 19 Most recent booking for this hotel was today at 22:04 from United States of America.

Very nice that it was converted from what would have been an awesome old mansion!! Very nice, very big bath to relax in. Location is very good, just outside of town (walking distance from the bus stop). Staff were friendly.

The staff was very helpful and provided us several recommendations for dinner which all turned out to be very nice. The first recommendation was the best. It was very comfortable and offered sitting outside under a large canopy provided by a tree of immense size. Though the Mistral was blowing, the outside area under the tree was relatively calm. The petit-dejeuner area was very clean and provided a very nice selection of foods and drink. It was close to downtown St. Remy and fairly close to the Roman ruins of Glanum. We enjoyed our quiet stay here. I really have no complaints about this location. It is older, but because of this provides an ambience an older mature couple like us appreciate.

This hotel is conveniently located at the center of a beautiful St. Remy. We stayed there for 6nights traveling to different place s every day. Rooms were clean but average. Pictures are better than the actual rooms. Staff is friendly and polite. We had mixed feelings about this place. We have found this hotel through Bed &breakfast site. We are experienced travelers and when we order B&B we know that breakfast is included in our stay. However this time we were wrong. Not only they have charged us for breakfast but they have also charged us for a tea that i have asked to bring us on a day of our arrival and few other nights because i was very sick. Granted we should have asked and we didn't, but to charge us for every cup of tea when now every hotel has it complimentary-I think it is a bit too much. Also they should have explained to us all of that at the time of our arrival. They should definetly stop advertising through B&B sites.

Le Castelet embodies what Provence and St. Remy are all about. It is charming, impeccable, tasteful and very well kept up. In addition to the fresh croissants and pastries, the breakfast even included homemade watermelon mermelade. It was a delightful experience which I would like to repeat. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the main center of town. The staff was extremely nice. I would give it a 4th star.

Room is spacious with panaromic view of Alpilles. Fine breakfast with bacon, ham, salami and egg in beautiful floral garden. The homemade jam of abricot is marvellous and delicious for all kinds of bread. Signal of WiFi in the room is very weak.

We very much liked our room and the 2 lovely salons, open to all guests. The breakfast room was large and opened upon the spacious and attractive hotel grounds. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I can think of no criticism that I could make. This hotel is a fine value for its rates and we definitely would return.

We enjoyed hiking in the Alpilles walking directly from the hotel. We loved the view of the mountains from our room. We did not sit in the patio garden that was so pretty as it was too windy. The breakfast was too expensive at 10 Euros therefore we did not eat at the hotel.

The location in St Remy is perfect with free parking and the ability to leave your car and walk where ever you want to go in town. The views from the rooms over the terra cotta roof tops and olive trees out to the Apilles are lovely and the windows open widely to let the fresh breezes in. Staff is very helpful and the breakfast was very good. When my husband became quite ill late one night the staff located an English speaking doctor very quickly to come to our room. Very good service and greatly appreciated.

It is truly an "old world' hotel..with roomy, spacious balconied rooms. We loved having a sunny balcony with a view of the Alpilles for a glass of wine at the end of a day of tripping to nearby villages. It is indeed an excellent location if you have a car for daytrips throughout the Luberon. Breakfast is a fresh & ample buffet and served in a sunny old breakfast room or in the garden patio. Free parking and WiFi access add to the ammenities. The women at the front desk were so very helpful and pleasant! We would not hesitate to recommend this small hotel to our friends!
