The close position to the old town and shops & restaurants. Having a balcony overlooking the town.
The stairs as we were on the top floor!
Staff very friendly and accommodating so our stay was very relaxing
The breakfast is excellent, as is the location. Very clean.
The room was advertised as having a patio, which it most definitely didn´t have. It was on the second floor with a window which opened onto a small, square, ground floor patio so all you could see was the wall in front of the window. There was no tv (not a problem to us but it might be to some people), which was also included in the details. The family room is very small for 4 people (impossible to fully open the wardrobe doors) although when we mentioned this to the owner his reply "what do you expect for this price"???? The advert clearly says it is 19m2, which may be true, but the distribution of the room made it difficult to move around and impossible to use the wardrobe. I expect the owner is really friendly and helpful as long as you don´t complain about anything. He will surely have something to say about this - something that absolves him of any responsibility and that we got what we paid for. He didn´t really care that we weren´t happy - the room was already paid for so his advice was "if we didn´t like it we could just leave"!
The terrace was valuable extra space.
No air conditioning. No hair dryer.
The staff member was really friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. His little dog 'Cookie' was really cute too, and a great watch dog.
Our host was fabulous and so helpful. He recommended excellent eating spots.
This hotel is ideally situated to visit the pretty little town of Ceret and its outstanding art museum, featuring Picasso pottery and other well known artists. The hotel is good value for money and mine host is very helpful, friendly and amusing.
- having to leave!
Friendly & helpful proprietor aided by his cute dog. He helped get all our bags to our third floor room up the spiral staircase which was no mean feat! Free parking close by. Good breakfast. If you stay here and he recommends you stop at Coullioure enroute to Spain - do it! A stunning beach village on the Costa Brava worthy of a paddle & lunch stop.
A bit tricky to find (due narrow & one way streets) even with a GPS.
The hotel is just off the Main Street with its shops and cafés and very close to the Museum of Art. The owner does a very good job of running the business single-handedly and is very charming and helpful. Breakfast can be taken on a delightful terrace full of flowering plants.
Our room was situated at the back of the hotel, overlooking a courtyard restaurant and could be a little noisy during the evening. This wouldn't be a problem if one stayed up later than we did.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, central but quiet. The room was very clean as was the bathroom. The view from the French doors was fabulous, what a way to start your day.
We were only there for a few days, I wouldn't have enjoyed taking a full case up two fights of stairs!
Quiet and very French! Staff very responsive!
location, clean and big rooms, modern decoration, friendly staff
doesn't have lift
overnight stay in november on our way back to the uk,& pleased we stayed..room was very pleasant,as was the guy on reception.Didn't do breakfast so can't comment, but did take advantage of the restaraunt recommended by reception,Improviste, which we enjoyed.Plus for my wife was the saturday market.
Don't trust your sat nav for the last mile,as it will try & take you through the narrowest of the towns lanes ! but as per the hotel,no complaints. Parking is near by & free!!!
Friendly, helpful proprietor with excellent advice for dining and trips. Quiet and clean with good breakfast.
Room a little small although very neat.
Immaculate, quiet & excellent breakfast .
Nothing at all.
Good value for money, tastefully renovated, great location, very clean.
The front desk person had a bit of an attitude. The front doors were locked at 9pm and reception was closed, so we saw people who were booked to stay at the hotel not be able to get in at 9:10pm. The front desk person was aware that they were there, but chose not to open the door to check them in.
The rooms are spotless, the breakfast lovely & the owner & his dog Cookie were most welcomimg. I stayed here in July with a friend & returned in September with my mother & sister. The location is perfest & the hotel is nice & quiet. |The price is just the icing on the cake. A real bargain
There was nothing which I did not like .
Convenient location. Good range of breakfast items and pretty courtyard to eat them in.Interesting artwork displayed around hotel.
Not to easy to find the nearest car park, but it was free of charge once we had found it!
The art work and decor were well done and very pleasant. Our deck looked across roof tops to distant view of Massif de Canigou. Manager was very helpful!
The hotel was fantastic. Very nice location directly at the center of céret, but in a quiet street which allowed us to sleed very well. The rooms were nice, modern and very clean. We enjoyed the view over the mountains every morning. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made our stay complete. And we already miss Cookie :)
Very pleasant and helpful owner, fabulous breakfast. Room had a beautiful view of the mountains.
Room was very small and the shower not easy to use for someone disabled.
Very nicely decorated and immaculately clean. Very friendly welcome and helpful staff.
It was an ideal 2 star hotel for a one night stay in Ceret. It is right in the heart of the village so within easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The rooms were basic but Gilles was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful!
Great service. The patron was very attentive. Well situated in a lovely town.
Temperature control in room. But the terrace helped at night.
