The room was immaculately clean and well presented. Comfortable became superb quality crisp, clean bedding. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. No parking at hotel but large public car park across street and only cost 3 euros. Location of hotel is fantastic. You are there! In the centre if Dinan only minutes from everywhere by foot. We had dinner at restaurant attached to hotel and the food was great but the night was made by the very helpful waitress. Our French is not so good but the hotel and restaurant staff were so kind and helped where necessary. I would certainly stay again.

My wife and I stayed at this lovely hotel for just 3 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Carlos, on reception when we arrived, was excellent and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommended hotel for central Dinan. You could park your car in the car park opposite and leave it there all week, and just walk around town. Lots of friendly bars and restaurants. I think it would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. But this is not a complaint, merely a suggestion.

The staff were friendly yet discreet. Facilities good. Very quiet considering situated on high street. Although there was no secure, private parking there was adequate parking across from hotel. Convenient for exploring the town and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We would stay here again. Decor a little tired.

A great hotel for Citi breaks. Great room, good price but does not have pool etc. Ifb you are happy with this then Le Challonge is really good value and the staff are excellent.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and return because we like the staff, the locationof the hotel and it's proximity to friends whom we visit in Dinan. The pillows are too narrow for real comfort and the lighting in the room is not adequate to allow for reading.

The front reception was really friendly and helpful. I even received a complimentary breakfast! Location is very central and accessible into the historic old town. Rooms were welcoming and comfortable. Overall a really wonderful stay - I can see why it's such a popular hotel!

The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. They were kind enough to speak enough England to be helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and delicious. Angela (I think was her name) made us omelettes, with a cheerful Bonjour! Each morning. The location is a block from the historic part of Dinan and it's wall. It's possible to walk to the Old Port and bridge of Dinan from the hotel.

The hotel is in the older part of Dinan which has a wide choice of restaurants to choose from and is interesting to walk round. But primarily it is useful being only 30 minutes from St Malo if one is catching an early morning ferry to the uk. A bit pricey especially breakfast- for the same cost you can get two breakfasts on the Brittany ferry!

A very reasonable stay in an excellent location. Easy parking. Hotel staff a+++ There was no air conditioning and I was given a room on the main street. Fortunately they still had a room in the garden area. I had to pay a bit extra but it was worth the price since I was able to sleep with the window open..

The hotel is located right on the main square in Dinan. Parking is opposite - free after 6pm. We had a family room - large, and with two rooms and a separate bathroom. It was quiet, despite being on a main road. The staff were unfailingly welcoming. There is a restaurant next to the hotel which serves a good menu prix fixe. Otherwise, Dinan itself has many places to eat in the old town centre.

Room was a good size, and clean, although basic in its furnishings. Good size bathroom. Staff were polite and helpful and hotel provided an excellent breakfast for the price. Overall a good value 2 star hotel. Although the bathroom was large, the shower was abit tight and dark.

Excellent hotel in the old centre of Dinan with parking facilities opposite. Enthusiastic, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful en suite bedroom worthy of a 4 star hotel and the best buffet breakfast we have had for some time. We will certainly return but for more than one night - we wished we had booked in for longer. We can thoroughly recommend without reservation this hotel to other travellers for its location - 30 minutes from Port of St Malo, price, quality of accommodation and friendly staff. Geoff and Anne Swain from England - August 2011

The location was very well suited to exploring Dinan, a really great medieval city. Room very, very quiet despite being on a busy street, thanks to top quality windows. Wooden shutters and thick drapes keep out all light if you wish. Bed much too hard for our tastes. Shower stall tiny and you must be in it to turn water on. Despite being told that staff would be present during certain hours at front desk, there was usually no one there, including when we wanted to check out. They did eventually return however. Parking can be a problem at this hotel , as you must use the public lot across the street, which is closed for market on certain days and full if it is a busy weekend or holiday.
