El trato del personal, son gente agradable y educada. La tranquilidad del lugar, su ubicación para visitar la zona.

La limpieza, principalmente del cuarto de baño. Pidieron pago de la estancia nada más llegar, previo a la entrega de la llave de la habitación.

Situado cerca de la playa.

Las habitaciones eran muy viejas (aunque creo que hay algunas reformadas), pequeñas y no muy limpias. En la reserva decía que te ofrecían una botella de sidra a la llegada. No fue así. Vimos que a otros clientes se la regalaron cuando estábamos a punto de montar en el coche, así es que reclamamos la nuestra. El jefe, pillado en falta, echó una pequeña "bronca" a un empleado por el "descuido", cuando era él el que se ocupaba de ello. Esta misma persona nos atendió muy rápido cuando llegamos y apenas nos dio explicaciones, a diferencia de otros hoteles que visitamos en otras ciudades. A lo mejor si te alojas en una de las habitaciones renovadas está mejor, pero a nosotros desde luego no nos gustó nada y nos pareció muy caro.

No me a gustado, el poner en un cuarto de 1 persona,meter una cama de dos, desen cuenta que la posicion de la cama,tenia dos lamparas y una de ellas estaba dentro de la cama.Srs mios eso no es normal, la razon han quitado una cama de 1 persona y han puesto una cama de dos,pero bueno hemos estado bien un saludo Fernando Diez

Habitación muy justa y algunos errores en la reposición de toallas de baño.

It was very conveniant and close to D-DAY museums. Nice breakfast.

The situation

This is a shabby, run-down little chateau, run by a man who has very little time for single travellers. The shower was broken and there were used towels still in the room.

The location is great - it's a short stroll along the seafront in front of the Mulberry Port to the museum at Arromanches, or a short drive to other wartime relics on the Normandy coast, and there are some excellent fish restaurants just along the coast in Port en Bessin Huppain.

We found the room to be very small and it and the bathroom were in a fairly poor state of decoration; we were asked to pay up front before we saw the room. This hotel was not the best value for money, nor the most relaxing place to stay during our holiday in Normandy.

Continental Breakfast which was excellent and good value. The location and the architecture of the hotel.

Our room which was minute. You could not open the loo/shower room door with the wardrobe door open. You could not get into bed from both sides. My wife stood with her arms out wide touching one wall. I stood touching the opposite wall with arms out wide, one hand touching the wall, my other hand resting on my wife's shoulder. We could not use a small upright chair as it was under a small desk and you could not turn the chair around as there was nowhere to put it. Although it was not particularly expensive it was, in my opinion, unsuitable for one person, let alone two. My sister-in-law had the same type of room next door, as a single.

Lovely old fin de siécle house and Norman-style annexe in its own grounds within walking distance of historic Arromanche centre with all its attractions and eateries. Our room had a large, comfortable bed. There was a bijou ensuite with shower. Double aspect room with elegant windows. Warm, friendly welcome from le patron upon arrival, who said he 'was expecting us'. The following morning, pleasant French breakfast with crisp bread, croissants and juice, most courteously served. We were also offered cheeses and yogurt.

Unusual to be asked for payment in advance, also not to be shown the room, as is the custom elsewhere. Decor in our room looked a bit tired and there was a curious, faint but not unpleasant odour, which seemed to emanate from the carpet. Guests who want Ibis and Campanile standards will baulk at Chanteclair, but we rather liked its oddball outback French country hotel charm. Evidently so do others, as it was full up when we stayed there. Guests will find it helpful to speak at least a little French.

Good breakfast, very friendly people! Thanks for the bottle of 'cidre'!

The building in which was the room was very nice from the exterior, and the gardens were very cozy too.

The room was tiny considering the prize, specially the bathroom. The insonorization was very bad. In the prize is supposed to be included a bottle of cider per room, and we did not received any. The breakfast was very expensive for what was offered.
