The design was simple but nice. Friendly and helpful staff.
You can expect a bit more comfort for the price you pay. Highly expensive.
I've stayed for business in several hotels in Montmartre, and le Chat Noir is definitely the best. Very close to the Moulin Rouge in the heart of Montmartre, offering a beautifully decorated room with a bed that's even long enough when you're 190cm tall. Breakfast is great, only one so far that's actually worth 15 euro.
The bed and pillows were so comfortable! The staff were excellent and could not be faulted. So friendly at all times and exceptionally helpful. Very spacious rooms and bathroom.
Location great for Moulin Rouge
Money taken before stay and not refunded when asked. Took several weeks for monies to be paid back. Parking not available near hotel even after pre booking.Manager very rude and unhelpful. Luxury room had mould over ceiling walls and window frame. No apology when mentioned. Very expensive for standard of room.
The Staff was excellent. The room and bathroom functional and clean!
The walls and floors are very thin. If a Rhino resides above you, you hear every step. Also from your neighbours you hear every word.
Lovely room which i think was meant for 3 on 5th floor. Great view along Boulevard de clichy. Bathroom was great, powerful shower and nicely done. Bed very comfortable. Hotel very close to metro for main tourist attractions but walking distance to Sacre Cour. The area behind hotel in Monmatre is lovely at night with lots of restaurants and cafes. Close to Moulin Rouge which was reason we were staying in hotel near by but would stay here again. The area around hotel is full of sexshops, as other reviews have stated, but area is fine and does not make you feel uncomfortable at all. Excellent value for money hotel for central Paris.
Nothing to dislike
Staff were very attentive, and helpful, bathroom was good however.
To rate this as a four star would be laughable.well maintained two star, room was very small, two single beds a plastic chair ,and a pouffee was all that was in the room, in the heart of the red light area tho had no problems there ,next door to the Erotic museum, however good location apart from that would I return there no, breakfast very expensive ,we did not eat there as there are lots of much cheaper places near
Noise from the street
Location good although bit far from Eifel. Front desk staff Julie was very helpful she explained us to get around within our short stay.............. ...
Too pricey. For any extra services they charge additional like late checkout and early check in.Cant consider it as Four star at all............ ....
my requests were followed up and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast spread!
Fantastic location, very caring owners and staff, breakfast was incredible, very nicely decorated.
That we couldn't stay longer.
Everything about the hotel...walking distance to many halal restaurante..blanche metro is just 2 minutes away from the hotel so i can connect to many tourist attractions in Paris and make my way to london via gare du nord station..its my best decision..highly recommended to everyone
At the foot of Montmartre hill, with a lot of (good) restaurants and shops at walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommendable breakfast. Soundproof rooms with good airco. Metro line 2 just in front of the hotel was great for our planning: visits to Père Lachaise, Canal St Martin, Parc Butte Chaumont, la Promenade Verte...
We went to Paris to spend one night in montmartre and this was in the perfect location, very close to the Moulin Rouge. Very comfortable and clean.
Very friendly and helpful reception personnel.
I was highly impressed by all the personnel from the reception desk. They all were very nice, polite and helpful.
1. The cleaning staff did a very poor job. -First of all when vacuuming the room, they left small spots of white "something" all over the carpet, from the moment when we entered the room till the day we left; those tiny balls of dirt just changed places. We did not make a fuss out of it but we had to use slippers all the time, while in other 4* hotels we could stay bare feet. I am not sure what those were but we could pick them by hand and place them in the garbage can. -Our bed lingerie was not replaced until the day before last and only after we specifically asked for that. The proofs: Monday evening we found my girl friend's hair fibers between the bed sheet and the duvet; a small stain I made during the night of Mon->Tue was in the exact same place Tue evening. Maybe I exagerate but after staying in dozens of hotels all over Europe I expect from a 4* hotel paid with more than 120 Euro/day to replace the lingerie at least every 2 days. -Monday they did not replace/provide shower gel, despite that it was obvious we had used both tubes that were provided for us. The Monoprix shop across the street was already closed so we had to ask for gel from the nice lady from the reception desk. We avoided further problems by going to Monoprix the next day and purchasing shampoo and shower gel. 2. The bathroom had very poor ventilation, we had to leave its door open and also open a window in order to eliminate the bed smell after using the toilet. 3. There was practically no useful furniture in the room. It had only one stool, one chair with long legs, a single small shelf in the wardrobe and two black parallelepipeds used as supports for the side lamps. Instead of a table there was a long stand, similar to the one used in bars, fixed to a wall, below the TV ( so one could not sit at the "table" and look at TV) .
Staff were very friendly and helpful, bed was very comfortable
Situated in red light district, surrounded by porn and sex shops, inappropriate for families
excellent location for Montmartre, Moulin Rouge, Metro Hotel was quiet Beds were very comfortable and shower room was excellent Facilities for leaving luggage in a secure area were the best I've seen
wouldn't stay in that area with children! Room was small no facilities for making coffee, etc
Decor and layout of room. Also a very good size. Staff were very helpful and polite.
No tea or coffee making facilities. Would have liked proper shower.
Breakfast and the proximity to the metro.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast... they also made sure we had gluten free bread for each day of our stay which we had requested at the time of booking. This was the third time we have stayed here and we will keep returning!
this hotel is in a great location to explore paris, lot of shops ,cafes, train station nearby, great buzz around the area, would stay again at the black cat,
i would nice be to be able to make a cub of tea or coffee in the room, when you arrive..
Location was interesting, amongst the live sex shows and strip clubs. Very helpful staff.
Noisy. Very patchy wifi. Lacks charm, for sure.
