Score from 354 reviews Very good
excellent location for Montmartre, Moulin Rouge, Metro Hotel was quiet Beds were very comfortable and shower room was excellent Facilities for leaving luggage in a secure area were the best I've seen
wouldn't stay in that area with children! Room was small no facilities for making coffee, etc
Decor and layout of room. Also a very good size. Staff were very helpful and polite.
No tea or coffee making facilities. Would have liked proper shower.
Breakfast and the proximity to the metro.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast... they also made sure we had gluten free bread for each day of our stay which we had requested at the time of booking. This was the third time we have stayed here and we will keep returning!
this hotel is in a great location to explore paris, lot of shops ,cafes, train station nearby, great buzz around the area, would stay again at the black cat,
i would nice be to be able to make a cub of tea or coffee in the room, when you arrive..
Location was interesting, amongst the live sex shows and strip clubs. Very helpful staff.
Noisy. Very patchy wifi. Lacks charm, for sure.
The location, the breakfast & the bathroom facilities.
Random phone calls in the middle of the night. Getting woken up by other guests above and neighbouring us.
Stuff and location
Excellent location a few meters away from the subway station
Internet access must be renewed every day. A bit annoying.
I would have loved tea/coffee facilities in our room.
Most of the staff were friendly Room a reasonable size Close to metro
Nowhere to put ones underwear had to keep in case. Nowhere to put soap on hand basin. Plug in hand basin did not work properly so couldn't fill it up with water it kept draining away. No fridge in bedroom Would rate more as a 3 star rather than a 4 star.
Easy access to Metro (Blanche Station). Because the hotel is very near Moulin Rouge, it is a sure bet that Taxi driver will not get lost. For such a noisy location, the sound insulation is quite good. Little cafes up the hill behind the hotel - good way of getting a feel for Parisian daily life.
FEW STEPS TO THE METRO STATIONS
IT IS A LITTLE BIT NOISY BY NIGHT
Friendly people, nice room and location, plus the restaurant below (le chat noir) has great food!
The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was large with a balcony over looking boulevard clichy. The shower was lovely, big and warm and the cleanliness was top class. Free wifi was an added bonus that was very useful as a lone traveller
The location close to metro
Dirty carpeting in room
The location was perfect for us just seconds to the metro which we used every day. The staff where friendly and made us feel welcome. The staff help us find our way around when we asked for directions. We stayed on the 7th floor which was great as we heard very little of the busy street outside. The Le Chat Noir's décor was fab and kind of quirky.
The only one thing that we would have to say here which is small but would have been nice if the rooms were kitted out with a kettle and cups for a cup of tea or coffee.
Everything! It's practically next to the Moulin Rouge, a mere 10mins from the Sacre Coeur, opposite a Metro station...ok, so it's got a lot of sex shops nearby too but that's part of the charm. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable - we had a triple room and it was massive. Overall loved everything about this hotel, and as a group of girls travelling felt safe and secure.
If I had to choose one thing I didn't it was the shower - it was a handheld nozzle one instead of a shower head but I that's being really picky!
Reception staff, bright clean room, excellent breakfast, view of Eiffel Tower.
Some people will not like the sex shops in the area and I guess rooms on lower floors might be noisy.
It was only OK overall. Nothing stands out as good.
The location is awful. The street is lined with xxx shops, etc, and its next door to a strip club. Stay elsewhere if you want to remember your trip to Paris for the right reasons. Stay here if you want to feel dirty when you get back to the hotel. Worst location I have ever made the mistake of choosing!
Location close to Montmartre Good breakfast Friendly staff Close to metro
Very good hotel
In the middle of pigalle. So, maybe less suited if traveling with children
The room was lovely and clean. Bathroom and shower excellent and the staff were very helpful. Restaurants within a few minutes walk were very good and the tube is one minute away making everywhere very accessible. I was with my 18 year old daughter and we didn't feel threatened or worried at all in this area. We would definitely stay here again.
The room could really do with having a chest of drawers as the only space for clothes was a tiny amount of hanging space!
I loved the fact that the hotel was centrally located to all the main sights, metro and airport. Walking in this area was not a problem and I felt very safe. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and room was superb. I was initially a little apprehensive of the area but there is absolutely no need to be.
