There are lovely beaches, it has a lively nightlife and good selection of stalls at the evening market. There are a wide variety of popular restaurants. The marina was attractive and we were able to take a boat trip to the Calanques. Bandol is also a good base for visiting both Toulon and Cassis.

Very pleasant seaside town with lots of bars and restaurants, beaches, boat trips, paddle boarding, etc. Local wines are excellent, market was busy and interesting. Much nicer than we had expected. Île de Bendor also a pleasant surprise.
Restaurant À Côté de Chez Swann in the back street was excellent!

Charming harbour town with nice shops and huge variety of restaurants serving everything from excellent seafood to pizzas. Favourite restaurant on the promenade - La Marine. Bouillabaisse superb as were prawns, bulots, wines etc etc. Busy but comfortable.
The bay at the back of the hotel had a lovely sandy beach, popular at weekends but tolerable, and water like a giant swimming pool with gentle sandy slopes into the sea, Seems very safe.

Lovely beaches, not too busy. Some rocky main ones sandy.
Lovely beaches, not too busy. Some rocky main ones sandy. Snorkelling. Hot weather every day. Showers and WCs on every beach. Super port, markets, local buses around resort. Plenty to do and see with or without a car. We flew BA from LHR and came by train from Marseille after spending 2 days there. Couldnt get a taxi from Bandol station to the flat. Quite expensive to eat out and generally but it is the Cote D'Azur!! Lots of resorts to visit on the train.
location is superb, i.e. 30 meters from the beautiful beach, hotel is more of a Motel 6 with everything very basic. It would have been totally fine if the room did not cost $ 273 a night. The value for the room with 1-ply toilet paper dispenser usually reserved for the train stations and public bathrooms and yellow stains on the ceiling is much less in my view. The towels did appear tired as well.
We loved this quirky hotel because of its wonderful history, linked to the literary scene of the 1920's. Our room had splendid views of the Med and the Port. The Terrace was an area in which we could relax at all times of day as it was shaded, calm and afforded beautiful views. It's on a couple mins walk to the nearest cafe and the beach is 1 minute from the rear exit.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. They have also a terrasse and a little garden where you can take your breakfast or drink a glass of wine in the evening. Continental breakfast is plentiful and fresh, they have home baked delicious gateaux every morning.
Location was great! Big appartment with easy access to the beach and walking distance from everything. The link to the property details send beforehand was amazing. Very active and easy communication with staff/owner. The best property of our whole trip in France!!
Beautiful newly modernised room overlooking the sea. Breakfast on the terrace was just perfect - lovely produce and a perfect selection. The staff there are charming and lovely. We were only sad that we were there for just one night but we will return
The bed was especially comfortable, shower a bit narrow, living room nice and cosy, location 2 min from the city center, free parking is approx. 5 min walking distance from the flat - overall a good deal for a short stay in Bandol.
What a great modern sweet hotel. Room was wonderful with a great balcony and view. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was very kind and helpful. 5-10min walk along the water to get to the main part of town for dinner.
Wonderful hotel just opposite the casino on the main promenade of Bandol. Loved the balcony with the view of the sea. The hotel owner and staff were polite and helpful.
Lovely sea view. Good size room. Lovely staff in both the hotel and the Chipote restaurant (but rude in the beach club). Comfortable bed. Impeccably clean.
proximity to harbor and beach. clean and new interior in a historic building. brother of the owner picked me up and gave wonderful suggestions in English.
