Grand style, in impeccably kept surroundings. The best breakfast we had this trip - shame the chef was sick so we couldn't try dinner (but applause for closing the restaurant in those circumstances).
Breakfast Surroundings Pool
small rooms in attic
The receptionist gave us an electric kettle to borrow.
Noise from the road, the pool was ice cold, there were no pool towels, the bathroom was tiny, the room was in an annex building.
Very clean and well presented room. Staff helpful. Lovely location in semi-rural setting.
Room 12 could do with with a bracket to hold shower head up on wall.
Liked the TV sofa add on with access to terrace.
We were very disappointed to fine restaurant was not open on Friday night in June, we hoped to spend afternoon on Cancale and then enjoy peaceful dinner. Bedroom was very compact.
Nice and quiet. Landscape and animals. Rural touch. Nice gardens
Rooms incl bathrooms very small. Not unusual, though, for Bretagne
The farm setting was lovely. Cancale is easily accessible to the major sites in the area. We loved the sitting room in our suite.
Comfortable large bed, spacious downstairs room, very nice bathroom, very nice garden and environment. Good WiFi.
No kettle and teacups in the room
Fabulous place, gorgeous rooms, very clean and comfortable, yummy toiletries. We did not try the breakfast so cannot rate it. However we were extremely delighted with our stay and will definitely stay there again if ever go back to Canacle.
The internet reception is not great.
Will return as staff so friendly
Room was noisy so we were able to change it.
Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Upgraded us !
Location not a problem to find if you have taken detailed instructions beforehand
Very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic location..
Loved the shabby-chic decor, the peace and quietness, the surroundings and the garden, the horses...wish we could have spent more time on the premises. The owner lady was very pleasant, helpful and professional.
Really countryside relax atmosphere. Very fast access both to Cancale & St.Malo.
Be aware that google points to incorrect location.
The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly. The food very good.
A facility to make tea or coffee in the room would have been good.
Buffet breakfast good but a bit pricey.
Room up steep stairs. Breakfast in a different building...not fun in the rain.
We can only recommend Le Chattelier to all visitors! Good location, very clean and a friendly staff. Congratulations.
Beautiful gardens and very friendly staff
The walk into the village which initially is along a road with no pavement
Nice French-style decor. Plenty of garden area and parking space. Nice inviting common rooms downstairs to share with other guests but no tea or coffee provided.
We were told we wouldn't have to book into the restaurant, but found it was booked out when we arrived at 7.30. It is also too far out of town to be able to walk everywhere. Room was a bit small
The Hotel has comfortable rooms just on the outside on Cancale and St Malo is only 15 mins drive away. The setting is tranquil with goats, horses and chickens to watch. Use of the pool in the hotel just next door great, very clean and towels supplied was a bonus. Restaurant there had a very high standard and the waiter was very friendy, the best service we had received all week on our trip away. Menu at little pricey but was definately worth it. We would go again.
Lovely house in peaceful gardens. On arrival, told we were able to use jacuzzi and swimming pool in nearby hotel - surprise bonus! Very good selection of items for self service breakfast
Nothing really, apart from squeaky door (on room 1!)
Breakfast, the country setting. The spaciousness of the rooms.
The noise in the room facing the street;
The food and the staff in the resteraunt were excellent if a little pricey . The fact that this was located a short walk away from the Bedrooms proved a nice advantage.
Arriving late at night caused a slight problem with checking in but we did cooe
I liked the friendly environment and how homely the hotel felt. I also liked the gardens and small pool area.
