Overall we really enjoyed our stay, but if I have to pick out one thing it would be that the owners' dogs were not a big fan of our dog and she was at times very frightened of them, which was ridiculous as she is a 35kg labradoodle and they were 4 tiny Jack russells. The Jack russells were otherwise very sweet and friendly with my husband, daughter, and I (and I could happily have stolen one to take home!).
They were very welcoming to both our large dog and young toddler, with a proper cot set up in the room, air conditioning, and fans as we were in a heat wave. The hosts allowed our dog to roam around off the lead, which was wonderful for her.
The food was lovely. We had arranged to eat in for two evenings as our baby went to sleep too early to go out for dinners, and both meals were good and came with free flowing wine to enjoy. The breakfasts were delicious, freshly baked croissants and brioche, homemade yogurt, and eggs on request.
