Location, Staff, Quiet
Rooms are very small but oh so tasteful
really good location, and value for money. The staff is really nice and friendly, and the facilities are new. although the room is a little small, but we love it over all.
room is a little small.
The personal of the hotel is very helpful and friendly. They welcomed us with a big smile and they were as well very polite. We will definetly go back!
Had a wonderful three night stay. I was lucky enough to get a very large room right off the lobby, with a huge bathroom. This would be the perfect room for a person in a wheelchair or other handicapped person. The room is large, no stairs to deal with, a shower with no edge to step over, wide doorways etc. It has a wall mounted tv that gets almost every know language. Very comfortable.
You could hear people noise from the restaurant near by, and in the lobby. Having such a nice room, makes up for the little annoyance.
The location in Paris and the easy and short distance to the RER and METRO.
The room temperature, which was not controlable.
This hotel is recommended! The staffs were very nice and welcoming. The room was new and clean. The location is perfect! Close to the metro. I would come back here again :)
The location was perfect, just off St Michel in a quiet street but within minutes of Blvd St. Germain, Notre Damme, Musee D'Orsay etc. The reception staff could not have been more helpful.
The room was comfortable but very small. Like many modern boutique hotels the lighting just wasn't bright enough. Try finding black socks on a black carpet in dim light!! The bathroom was well appointed given the tiny space, but there no hooks for robes etc. and why glue the tissue box to the only small bit of shelf space available!? Sometimes one wonders if designers ever try staying in the rooms they design.
Location is not bad
Grand Floor Room is too noisy
The noise in the street at night. Too little room in the breakfast room
Very decent size room for the price. Great location. Very accommodating staff.
Might be a small elevator for some.
Breakfast is excellent. With 14 Euro, you get all conventional buffet items plus salmon and macarons Decoration is good although the room is small but I think this is typical for hotel in Paris. Hotel location is excellent, just 1 minute walk to RER and metro station - St. Michel Notre Dames. 2 minutes walk to Notre Dame. Staff is caring and helpful
Room desk (if you think it is) is extremely small. It's barely enough for me to put my Macbook pro there to work.
Small comfortable boutique hotel with very friendly staff. Small, but nice room.
Location History Close to St Michel and Notre Dame Quiet for sleeping Nice breakfast
Location, quaintness, attentiveness of staff, modernized rooms, Wi-Fi works really well.
Small rooms, but hey, it's europe, tv system is slow and not very responsive
Very comfy bed, staff on the front desk were always very helpful. Good location, nice and quiet.
Rooms are small but you know this is you read the reviews, not really a problem if you are staying for a weekend break and have small bags.
Lovely reception staff. Really quiet at night. Comfortable beds and good shower. Would definitely stay here again.
location is amazing and staff are nice, breakfast is delicious
The location is excellent, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Close to Notre Dame and good location for taxi rank and open top tour bus
Nice comfortable room, good breakfast, great location -- quiet street but near metro, restaurants, museums, shopping, everything.
Not a thing.
location, good price for city center of paris, would definitely stay here again.
hard to find.
A nice boutique style hotel, friendly and helpful staff.
We went with another couple and could not have been made more welcome. Our room was excellent, if a little small, but that did not stop us sleeping well, with a room at the back(highly recommended!). Breakfast was terrific, small but perfectly shaped, if you know what I mean! The hotel is brilliantly situated in St. Germain with some great restaurants in easy walking distance. The Louvre is just across the river and Notre Dame a stone's throw away. The staff could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We all felt we had been very well looked after and cannot recommend this Hotel too highly.
Our only slight whinge was the size of the room, but as we were there for only 3 nights it did not really matter.
Friendly staff very clean and fantatic location
Very small rooms ( this is probably typical of most hotels in this City centre location. I felt it was extremely expensive for what you got compared to other hotels we've stayed in but this may also be typical of hotels in this area.
Location of the actual hotel just off St Michel place and friendliness and helpfulness of all staff was really good. I really liked the age of the building and the clever modifications. It is a very small hotel with a narrow spiral staircase so don't go expecting grand open spaces. This one has character and style. And a small elevator. Appreciated the included wifi that worked without glitches. I was travelling with my 22year old son (Q1 didn't have a category for this so ticked group) so we had a twin room which was extremely small (as I understand all Paris hotel rooms to be) but, on the downside, there was nowhere to put a second suitcase let alone open it. Unless you are in an intimate relationship with your room partner it might be a bit too squishy for comfort. We weren't in the room often so it was ok for us.
The doorless shower made showering uncomfortable as water poured off your elbows onto the floor unless you reduced the flow to a trickle and stood with your back against the tapware. Need lots of towels to mop up afterwards. The location as said was great, however the area before the steps that lead down the laneway to the hotel entrance is used as a public urinal (I actually saw a fellow in the process of relieving himself in broad daylight) and the smell is overwhelming. I don't know how the Italian restaurant at the base of the steps attracts customers. The lane can be noisy - trucks woke me at 6.30 each morning but not my son. The bar opposite also was noisy quite late at night but it was the happy sound of people enjoying themselves (not yelling or anything like that) and didn't bother us at all.
I am disabled and can only use a shower. Unfortunately, most hotel showers are located within a bath. Having had great difficulty finding a room with just a shower this hotel goes one better and provides a decent wet room! Is this unique in Paris? The hotel has a level access - absolutely no step! Ideal for a person using a wheelchair or a less able-bodied person. We were in Room 1 which is located on the ground floor. However, see my comment regarding the rooms on the other floors. While our room was a little small its good design maximises the space. There is a reasonably spacious lobby before you enter the bedroom and the two sliding doors also results in you having more available space. We liked the modern style of the room with the attractive mural headboard. A very welcoming hotel with very friendly staff who spoke very good English. There was a small bottle of Champagne to greet us with some good quality chocolates. A nice touch! The shower was excellent. The description of the hotel was a little misleading because it seemed to suggest that if you chose breakfast, it had to be taken in the room - something that we didn't want. While you had this option most people will want to use the small dining area behind the reception desk. For 14 Euros the breakfasts are surprisingly good. It is self service and has excellent coffee with a wide choice of blends. A good choice of cold meats, smoked salmon, bread and croissants and fruit juices and yogurt. This is a very old building which has been tastefully modernised. For most people the hotel's location is the star quality.
Our ground floor room was very dark, in part due to the necessity of having privacy blinds on the windows. More artificial lighting could be an improvement for many people. On our arrival we noticed that the toilet seat had been broken and it was unsafe to use. The management were very responsive to this problem and they went to a lot of trouble to have a new seat installed. Less able-bodied guests should be warned that with the exception of our room, all the other rooms require guests to use a lift. In order to access this lift you have to climb about a dozen stone steps!
