Hotel Le Cottage  

We have used this hotel many times as a night stop whilst travelling long distance, and it is very suitable in all aspects. This visit was on the return after an outward stay that fell short of the usual satisfactory stopover.

On return we were given a larger room than previously and thought this better. However, we had a problem with the shower in that the shower head did not fit correctly and had to be hand held as it could not be stood under. Also there was nowhere to put the soap or shampoo bottles whilst in the shower. All in all a bit of a juggling exercise. We reported this to the owner/manager and his reaction was limited! The toilet seat in the mens' toilet near reception was loose and again the reaction was the same when reported. We were disappointed with both visits this year and will probably consider another hotel when travelling in the future.

Convenient stop on our journey to the south of France

We were advised soon before our departure from home that no evening meals are available on Fridays and Sundays each week and we were given the hotel access code. When we arrived the hotel was locked and we gained access via the security code which was difficult in the dark. We had difficulty in finding a place to eat and finally went to a Crocodile restaurant which was very good. Breakfast is somewhat meagre, we have stayed here before,and the standard of this is similar to our previous experience, adequate but with limited choice.

Location was ideal for Calais Ferry Port and only about 1 hour away. Staff very friendly and attentive and room comfortable and clean. Free wi-fi was a great no cost extra. Would recommend to others

Easy access to motorway system. Good food and ample breakfast.

Unable to get a drink when we arrived due to the hotel only having a table licence and evening meals started at 7 pm.

Great non chain budget hotel with a calm mature feeling. Good value for money when taking advantage of booking.com rates.

It was in a good location about an hour south from Calais so we were able to use it as a stopover on our way to Strasbourg. Collection of keys to the room had been arranged beforehand since we arrived late on the Friday evening but this went smoothly. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet and suited our purposes. Despite its name, it's really just a 'formula' type hotel such as you find readily on the edge of French towns. Breakfast was okay - reasonable value at 7 euros each.

It was easy to find, clean and wellcoming, with good parking. Ideal one night stop-over. It has a nice restaurant with excellent service, serving simple food. Good internet access. Our room was quite and clean. Very good value and would stay again.

Not much not to like. Rooms are a bit small but inline with expectations. No air-con so might prove a little uncomfortable during very hot weather.

Convenient enroute location to Paris

Reception only accessible by going outside and walking around the car park to the front of the building......it was raining heavily when we stayed.

L'accueil et la gentillesse des patrons, bonne literie, le calme, le petit déjeûner...

Nous apprécions le style, la déco cosy et l'endroit est calme ! Nous apprécions aussi une certaine autonomie, qu'importe l'heure à laquelle nous arrivons, notre enveloppe nous attend et restons libres de nos mouvements ! C'est aussi le plus prés de notre destination ! Le personnel est acceuillant, aimable et sympathique !

Dommage que nous ayons râté le petit-déjeuner, ce sera pour la prochaine fois !

On peut garer la voiture juste en face et gratuitement. Bon rapport qualité-prix à l'hôtel et au restaurant.

Les jeunes patrons sont trés accueuillants et prêts à tout pour satisfaire la clientéle comme proposer un petit déjeuner avant l'heure.

Nous avons aimé le style "anglais" de la décoration de la chambre. C'est un hôtel calme, avec un personnel accueillant et souriant. La décoration de la salle de restaurant est également très agréable, ainsi que la qualité du petit déjeuner. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter lors d'un prochain voyage.

Pas ou peu de choses désagréables. Seul bémol, la douche est un peu petite.

Tout y est bien : propreté et décoration de l'établissement, disponibilité du gérant, petit déjeuner complet varié et suffisant. Pour ce que j'avais à faire dans la région, cet havre de paix était idéal.
