Staff friendly and helpful. Although I arrived at the hotel after the restaurant had closed they were prepared to serve me a meal. I didn't have time for breakfast (see below) so was able to settle my bill the evening before I left and leave the key in my room. No night porter. Breakfast time and checkout were rather late (from 8am) although I had stated on the booking that I needed to leave the hotel in time to get to Cherbourg by about 8am. |

We loved the building, Spiral stairs in turret up to our room, fantastic chic French dining room. So 40s in style, We loved it. Parking on site in a converted historic barn. lovely atmosphere. We would stay here again. Sadly the rooms seem to have walls made of paper, we could hear our neighbours more than we would have liked to. Would benefit from an extractor system from the En Suite. Room was on the small side. |

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable. The dining room was very attractive and the food was excellent and good value for money. The private carpark was excellent as it was off road and secure. |

Surprisingly attractive dining room with excellent food. Room very basic with very small bathroom, all furniture dated & a little shabby. Parking very difficult , could be quite dangerous backing into a tiny opening off a busy narrow street. o.k if you drive a mini |

We liked the confort of the single bed and the breakfast. The room was quiet despite being in a town. The hotel was easy to find. The staff was pleasant. The place was a bit run down. It needed a coat of paint. Looked better on advertisement. |

Great traditional French hotel in a small town close to Cherbourg. Right in the town centre with a good value and high quality restaurant. Great barn at the back where you can park free. Only 700m from the station. |

Hotel was full of character and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We travelled with 2 young children and we were all very well looked after It ended up being a lot more expensive than I planned. The room rate was very good but once we added on dinner and breakfast it ended up being an expensive option for a one night stay |

The outer facade of the hotel and parking facilities. The room was badly decorated and had a dirty carpet. The light in the corridor came easily into the room around the door. It was very noisy due to being near the central staircase and car park. You could also hear the en suite of the room next door being used very clearly! |

This is a beautifully restored 17th century hotel located in a beautiful mid sized French town. Staff was polite and tried to be helpful but there is very little (none) English spoken here. Although I enjoyed the hotel and the town, there was no a/C. Americans should not equate this hotel with properties offered by a mid range American hotel chain |

A classic hotel with a room larger than the average that is suitable to a family of four. The hotel parking is very crowded and it is very hard to park there a large car. The hotel does not have an elevator so you have to climb up with all your suitcases in a narrow stairs. |

Food and service in the restaurant was good; my gluten-free diet was dealt with competently. Comfortable bedroom which was in line with the price charged. Breakfast good have been better. |

Taken over a year ago by new people. Some refurbishment done. The bedrooms we stayed in were spacious and recently redecorated. New matresses.A bar/breakfast room has been added..convenient.Close to town centre, convenient. Still some updating to do. Food OK but charming dining room.Good/secure garage( free) In process of updating but not much of a problem |

1. The exceptional friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. 2. The gourmet menu with special dishes of the day at reasonable prices, fresh local produce and delicious speciality home made ice creams e.g. the local Livarot cheese ice cream. Nothing we didn't like. The furnishings are simple and plain in the bedrooms but they are spotlessly clean and suitable for the hotel grade. |

Very nice old coach house. No problems staying with our dog. The room was a bit smelly. Maybe that was because it was especially for people with pets. |

Close to the D-Day beaches and Calvados, a region with a rich historical heritage and beautiful scenery, the hotel welcomes you in peaceful and green surroundings. |
Charming Hotel where we will give you the best welcome. Close to the Napoleon square and pedestrian streets, excellent for a very nice walk. |
