well positioned, excellent value for money and very helpful staff.

The kitchen facilities in the room provided the opportunity to be self sufficient if required, whilst at the same time having the full hotel facilkities available if required.

The room allocated was an east facing room which prevented the ability to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun from the balcony.

Close proximity to the town and beach made sightseeing very convenient. The room was warm and comfortable with fantastic views across Biarritz to the lighthouse. We were off season so didn't get to swim in the pool but did take advantage of the lower price. All in all a very successful short stay.

My fault that I forgot to shut the wooden blinds that would have kept the lighthouse flashes out.

The room was really comfortable, clean and very practical. The shower, microwave and stove all worked perfectly. Wifi worked in the room most of the time. Our room had a really nice view over the beach. Free parking was a definite plus. It is a 5 minute walk to the beaches and 2 minutes from the town centre.

Its probably worth checking if the room has air con as I imagine it would get pretty hot in summer, our room didnt seem to have air con but this was ok as it was october

Central location, waking distance from shops.

Rooms were old, internet did not function with iphones and ipads.

Excellent location. We we in their "Annex" and had a spectacular view of the ocean from our balcony. He bathroom was clean. We had a kitchen with microwave, etc. Our room had a bunk bed in the hallway. A family of 4 could have stayed there - excellent value.

There was no a/c and it was warm! The bathroom lacked some basics like tissues and a hairdryer.

We felt like we were staying at a resort owned by a family who welcomed us as their guests. They were so friendly and accommodating and it was very clean. And there was always something happening in the lobby area. Local folk dancing, singing, local artisans, etc. They offered reasonably priced tours of local attractions but as they were only in French, we didn't take them. The restaurant was really, really good. Excellent food and wine. The view from most of the rooms was excellent giving beautiful views of the ocean from their comfortable balconies. The location is great for strolling into town and there's an excellent bakery at the bottom of the hill a block away. Anyone can't go wrong staying here. We highly recommend Le Grand Large. We would return in a heartbeat.

The only downside was that wifi was only in the lobby but then we would sit at a table and order cafe au lait or wine to sip while reading our emails. Not so bad after all!

It's swimming pool and parking facility are good. the room was a basic 3 star french hotel room with a cooking facility including fridge, microwave,coffee maker, hob with two rings and sink. Adequate crockery and cutlery.

No kettle or large towels for pool use.

Le Grand Large has the most splendid location, with magnificient sea and town views (we were lucky anyway).

The bar/restaurant was not very exciting

The hotel location is central and the room was very spacious, clean & tidy. Checking in & out were very smooth and the staff very helpful. We did not use the hotel dining room or swimming pool, as a result I have rated Services / Facilities as "Good", I suspect they would have been as good as all others Services and if so my rating would have been "Excellent"
