Just 10 minutes easy drive from Montpellier Airport and with the beach across the road, this is a reasonable option for a cheap stopover if travelling and your standards are not too high. There is a decent cafe/restaurant right next door too, which is just as well as the nearst other place to eat or drink is 20+ mins walk or a drive away. The beach is right across the road (sadly obscured by seafront properties mostly) but there's free on-street parking right outside. The Receptionist was welcoming (and relieved we spoke French), there was plenty of choice for the buffet breakfast and we were able to sit on the balcony in the morning sunshine, alhough I imagine it's hot there in high summer.
It's located in an area of mainly residential seafront properties so apart from the cafe next door you really have to drive up or down the coast road if you want some action. The building itself is a little tired - no lift, fittings all well-used, the ensuite was little more than a partition with a sliding door against which my knees rested when on the throne and the shower was very restricted as to space. We were at the back with a view of some scuffy buildings, but we could see the lake and mountains in the distance. In fact we were advised to keep the windows shut because of the many mosquitoes (some already at home when we got there!) but the aircon worked fine to keep the room cool. The very low bed may not suit eveyone, but it was solid enough and suited us exhausted travellers.
Friendly staff Cosy feel to hotel, clean Restaurant next door for drink food, Nice terrace for breakfast Nice location opposite the beach Nice sea view from room Aircon works well in the room Good value for money overall
Staff smoking outside small entrance to hotel. Breakfast very limited continental no cheese or meats, no tomatoes, ran out of of pastries did not supply more. No tea options. Very few fruits. Shower holder broke, curtain stuck to you when you shower. Towels rough. Bed very low if you are tall. No lift so not disability friendly Parking not restricted so students, youths visit the beach stand outside hotel by vans, cars loud. Roundabout busy outside the hotel Not obvious which is hotel from front small entrance people sitting smoking on arrival.
Very close to the beach. Nice sea view from the room.
Very small shower Access to the on-site parking quite difficult, especially with a large car. Restricted choice of bars and restaurants in the locality, as quite some distance from the town centre.
Stuff was friendly and helpful despite the fact that we decided to leave after 1st night. Sea is near.
We took a family room. There was hardly a place to put the bags. Bathroom was small and the shower wasn't clean. When we opened a window a hundred mosquitos rushed into the room and we spent half of the night getting rid of them. There were much more behind the window waiting for their chance. Sea was ice-cold.
Beach is few seconds away, nice breakfast on the terrace, looking at the sea Free parking on the street
Bed cover was dirty, not washed for quite a while
I received a really warm welcome from the manageress when I arrived. The room was really nice, great uninterrupted view to the beach and the modern bathroom was clean and adequate. I used the hotel as a base to explore the wider Languedoc region so didn't spend much time at the hotel. If you are looking for a place to sleep comfortably without any additional frills then this is it. The walk to the town centre takes about 30 minutes which was fine for me.
If I was being really picky I could only say that the parking was a bit inadequate at the hotel. Both sides of the street also have spaces but getting one close to the hotel was a bit of a lottery. The water pressure in the shower wasn't as vigorous as I like.
Perfect location, nice stuff, you can have breakfast on the terrace overlooking see
Very friendly personnel, great terrasse (we booked the suite), big bathroom, kitchen, very close to the beach
Breakfast good but very French (simple, coffee, croissant, jam etc). If you want a more sturdy one you should book the suite with the kitchen and cook yourself!
The location is awesome - you can hear and see the sea out of the window. It was quiet, but in the same time close to the center of Palavas. Nathaly and Patricia are very friendly and helpful!
