The town is beautiful. There are many shops, and beautiful architecture everywhere you look. There are some of the finest restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. The people everywhere are very friendly and everyone seems happy. It was like walking around in a painting. It was unforgettable.

Beautiful town with lots of interesting buildings.
Beautiful town with lots of interesting buildings. Nice bars and restaurants. We found opening times of restaurants and shops unpredictable. Enough to do for a few days. Nice river trip and prebooked taxi from airport was convenient.

So many things to see and do in the area.
So many things to see and do in the area. Bordeaux and Burgundy get lots of press for their wines. The surrounding vineyards of the Bergerac region are superb and accessible. They wine you sample ranges from good to out of this world; the stories you hear at each vineyard are full of the passion the people convey about their work and the results.
In addition, the cultural sites were fun with many to choose from. Our only concern is that we traveled in early October. Some sites change or close at that time. Their websites weren't up to date so we showed up to several only to find them closed for the season.

A wonderfully set village on a picturesque river.
A wonderfully set village on a picturesque river. The bridge is beautifully lit at night. Several great dining options and the local wine selections are very good and affordable. The people of Bergerac were kind and welcoming.

Beautiful small old town in SW France.
Beautiful small old town in SW France. No hustle and bustle of a large city which made for a very relaxing stay. Close to numerous wineries and other destinations for a day visit. There is ample parking very close to the town centre (400+ places, and free!). Park the car and walk! Highly recommend this picturesque town and neighbouring region for a short visit.

Lovely river and bridges.
Lovely river and bridges. It's a historic center by the river too with lots of medieval architecture. Boulangerie is fantastic! You will see most things in two or three days as the historic center is not large but there are other places of interest within an hour or so's drive e.g. La Roque Gageac.
Hotel newly built. Location for walking around good BUT almost impossible to get there with the car to unload. The guest I traveled is handicaped. They gave her a room at the top - even so the lady showed them the hadicap ID. The stairs are so small - no elevator or help with suitcase. Breakfast - not good at all. The staff not there or not speaking any of the common languages - French, English etc. Cannot recommend this hotel
Loved the entire apartment. It was creative, spacious and modern within amazing brick and stone walls and arches! The kitchen was well equipped and it was fantastic to have the little courtyard with a fish pond and hot tub to relax in plus a bbq ! The host responded quickly to any questions and was very accommodating. You can walk out of the door and straight into the historic, beautiful old town of Bergerac.
Great location in the town centre, a few minutes' walk from Notre Dame and the old town, a very nice, friendly supermarket (Casino) round the corner, perfect for groceries and a wonderful market which occupies the adjacent streets on Wednesday. Ten minutes to the river (lovely riverside walks) or to the Station (trains to Bordeaux). The apartment is compact, clean & comfortable
Really good location in the centre of the old town. The apartment is ancient but comfortable though stairs may be a challenge for those with reduced mobility. Chris was exceptionally helpful, picking us up, showing us round the town and apartment and dropping us back to the airport. Breakfast couldn't have been fresher. Quirky spot for a long weekend!
The room was comfortable with opening windows looking over the pool. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were excellent.
The location was superb - walking distance to the old town and the river.
Bergerac old town is full of great restaurants and the old building are fascinating. The city has excellent shopping and of course great wines.
Nick and Jenny were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The b&b is set in a peaceful, quiet area yet just 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Bergerac (along the river). The garden of the b&b is great to sit out in, and the rooms are spacious, comfy and clean! Nick and Jenny put on an excellent breakfast each morning.
The breakfast was superb. Sylvie and Jean were excellent hosts. The rooms were perfect. The decor was quirky with thoughtful additions from their travels. Great bathroom. Pool and garden is a lovely setting. Okey the dog is fab and friendly. Location was great. A quiet area 5 min walk to old town centre.
The owners, Herick and Mina, we're most welcoming and helpful from out arrival until departure.
The apartment was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed.
The apartments window view overlooking the river Dordogne, in the centre of the old Bergerac town was wonderful.
The location of the Hotel is perfect for the short walk to the old town and the Dordogne River.
there was some construction of the road going on outside however this did not affect our stay.
outside space very pleasant pool area was nice.
Lovely historic home beautifully maintained and full of original art, charming hosts, English spoken. There are five lavish guest suites. It’s charming, safe, well located, perfect for a stay in Bergerac.
It is a 16th century building which is full of character. Breakfast was good, hosts were excellent. Hotel is in the old town 2 metres from the river and opposite a number of restaurants.
Easy late checkin via box, not so big but nice and practical room with AC, free parking, boulangerie next door as good alternative to the hotel breakfast, shops and restaurant neraby.
