Quite a walk from ski lifts
Cyril the Manager was amazing, calling us to confirm booking and flexed our dates as we needed, very friendly, helpful and always in a good mood! 4 course meals in the evening and breakfasts included were great, as well as the 3 minute walk down to the centre.Staff in the main were polite and helpful. Very clean and tidy hotel. Highly recommended.
Slightly surly female member of staff who clearly wasn't overly impressed with making us good coffee from the machine in the morning on occasion, rather than us drinking the stewed pour and serve option!
Very friendly and helpful host. Excellent breakfast buffet. Lovely view over Morzine from balcony.
location staff breakfast bike wash bike storage
nothing at all
Cyril so helpful, it made our stay.
Their friendliness and helpfulness
Breakfast Staff Location
No kettle in room
Just perfect for me. Clean, comfortable and a place to wash and keep my bike. Owners spoke good English and answered all my questions! Great views!
Location and staff was really good
Room was a bit small
Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location for the centre of Morzine
Excellent service and friendly staff, lovely place, central location and breakfast was well catered for :)
Very welcoming staff, small but spotlessly clean rooms, sunny balcony and very good food
Nothing to criticise, brilliant value for money
Very friendly and helpful host
Room smelling of tar. Noisy neighbours
Our hosts were so friendly! Definitely recommend it.
evening meal was fantastic! we stayed for 5 days after a day skiing we really looked forward to the evening meal, best food ive had in a hotel in a long time! very friendly staff
Fantastic staff, food was outstanding, very welcoming and helpful. Would 100% recommend to stay here. The best skiing accommodation I've ever been to.
A very casual and sincerely family run hotel . Not luxury but clean and comfortable . Breakfast is sufficiently nutritious , but simple . Dinners are 3 to 4 courses but surprisingly good considering the lower average cost you spend on the booking . Room is dated and relatively small but clean and well maintained . I spend a week there with my hospital colleagues and were extremely delighted . Certainly will go there again .
A little bit far for getting in town abd ski lift about 10 min walk with some steepness . But you can catch a bus which run every 30 min . I suggest that you rent a ski at Berger's ski shop which is almost next to the ski lift and keep your ski and boot there overnight . You will get 29% discount if you mention that you are the hotel guest . Walking back and forth from hotel without ski and boot are not too bad and I am 65 . You can also catch a more frequent bus line A from downtown tourism center and get off at the church or city hall from there you walk 6 min uphill take a shortcut through hotel's back entrance .
Great hosts, fantastic food, ideal location, superb value for money, amazing views.
My friend and I had an enjoyable stay here for a long weekend of skiing. Hotel is centrally located in Morzine approximately 15/20 mins walk from either Plenary and Super Morzine lifts. Room was basic in terms of furnishings but was clean and comfortable with shared balcony. The staff were very helpful and able to answer any queries we had. we were on half board and found the food very good. The hotel also had a deal with one of the ski-hire shops near the Plenary lift and we were able to leave our skis and boots there which was very convenient. All in all very good value and I would definitely stay at this hotel again
Nothing - the hotel met expectations for the price we paid
Owners and staff very welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The location was excellent - a ten minute walk to the centre of town and the ski bus runs from outside the hotel to the Morzine and Super Morzine gondolas. When we were there (Feb 2014) the bus ran every 30 minutes from 08:10 to 19:10. Evening meals were varied and of a very good standard. The small bar stocked a good variety of drinks. Accommodation is not luxurious, but was comfortable and warm with plenty of hot water. Will will certainly return.
The food was excellent and the hosts very welcoming.
This property was further away from the ski lifts than we would usually like (though a free bus service was available).
Brilluant location, lovely people, food was great and views were amazing. Definitely recommend this hotel whether it's for skiing or sightseeing. We had 20% off our ski hire with Berger and can also recommend using Skiidy Gonzales for transfers.
No bath only a shower - I ached so much after skiing!
Very friendly staff. Great value half board room
Great welcome. Friendly atmosphere. The food was amazing and the service was always cheerful. You get a choice of starters, one main meal a cheese board and a dessert. The boiled eggs for breakfast and the fresh french bread...mmmmm! We had a really relaxed time at the hotel and cannot believe how lucky we were to stay at le grand tetras. A great priced hotel which is a great find. Unfair to say anything bad about this hotel or the staff. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the slopes which is a great warm up before skiing. If the walk is not for you there is a free bus down the road. The avoriaz bus is around the corner. Other bars are a 5 minute walk, but the hotel bar is very relaxing. The rooms are a little tired but always clean. We were skiing and boarding from. 9-5 so just needed the room for sleep!
Owner and staff very helpful and friendly.
