Our rooms were at the rear of the hotel in the annexe overlooking the courtyard, with a lovely view of St Pierre cathedral. Even with the window open to let in the cool breeze it was still peaceful. Very good and reasonably priced continental breakfasts, served on a lovely terrace at the rear of the hotel overlooking the gardens. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English (a bonus for those of us with limited French skills). The room and bathroom were both nicely appointed and decorated. Highly recommend. I found the mattress a bit too hard and the pillows not to my liking, but Mrs had no such problem.

The outstanding feature was the absolute care, friendlines and attention of the hotel staff. They attended to every detail and were of great assistance in dealing with language complications with a French garage and insurance company. The location of the hotel in the old town makes access to all sites so easy, and there within a short walk there are many fine restaurants to suit all pockets. A great base to view a wonderful old city

Very old building adapted on the interior to a hotel-Part of the old town neighborhood-Next to an excellent restaurant called "Le Petit Jardin"-Part of a residential neighborhood Throughout my stays in France, I was besieged by mosquitos as there are no screens on the windows and the weather was warm and lovely.Bring your insecticide and you will be fine. The entrance is on a very narrow street and my taxi driver dropped me at the top of a narrow and steep passage way. Returning I had help from the front desk. They said the taxi could have driven on the street in front of the place, but it is a tiny street.

Location, central but quiet. The charm of a small hotel. Nice welcome. Breakfast area very small when inside in bad weather. A big mistake in calculating rates when leaving, but this was corrected when I said so.

A very comfortable small hotel in the heart of the old town. Perhaps more than I wanted to pay, but the high euro exchange rate did not help. It is lovely staying in the old town, but though the streets are traffic free, the noise of people passing and talking in the alley below was not negligble. It is not that it was in any way a noisy alleyway, but in these old town settings any noise does reverberate around. Worth asking for a backward facing room if you are sensitive to this kind of thing

The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, one can tell they really care and love their work. Excellent location within short walk from everything, yet on a very quite street. Convenient parking 500 m away for just 7 euro a day available to hotel guests. Rooms' decor and amenities are quite basic, but you have really all you need. Breakfast can be enjoyed on a lovely terrace. Minibar is a bit overpriced.

The room was lovely. This was the second room we moved to. The first was adjacent to the patio - very small and potentially smoky from the breakfast crowd. We asked to be moved and, though the view wasn't as lovely, the room was much bigger and very quiet. The bathroom was large. Unfortunately, there were no English speaking channels on the tele. (But we weren't in Montpellier to watch tv). The staff was very helpful and nice enough to let us store our bags there all day until our train left at 7:00. Definitely would stay here again but I would request an room on the upper levels.

The location was great and the view out our window was as close to the 15th century as one can imagine. A pleasant surprise was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff especially the breakfast staff and especially the night desk staff. Many nights we were out walking at 11 or 12 and the desk clerks were always helpful in adding ideas to our plans. We will definitely return to Montpellier and to Hotel Le Guilelm!

Fabulous location for a stay in Montpellier. Away from the the conference but still very convenient. Delightful short walk through the city every morning. Surrounded by great retardants, cages and bakeries. Very polite staff. Would readily stay there again and recommend it for others .

Very helpful staff. Nice, quiet and airy rooms. The hotel's in a maze of quiet alleyways in the old part of town, lots of good restaurants close by. If you're coming in by train it's only a 10 minute walk up through the town from the station : avoid predatory taxi drivers if you can.

The Hotel is ideally placed to experience and explore Montpellier. The rooms are small but comfortable - adequate. We stayed for a week but I think that Montpellier is really a three night trip. We travelled to Carcassone and Nimes to refresh our acquaintance with these towns and to fill time. The staff at the hotel were delightful and tried very hard to advise and look after us. My wife speaks good French so his helped and the staff responded very positively.

Lovely historical building Small elevator (lift). The staff offered to keep my bike in a storage room which had access to the alley way but I was more comfortable carrying it two stories up the narrow spiral staircase.

The location is fantastic, an easy walk to the centre of Montpellier, just far enough away from the hussle & bussle. Good size, new bathroom. You can drop bags at the front of the hotel although it is quite difficult to negotiate the narrow streets in a car! There is a secure car-park an easy walk away.
