My husband and I stayed for two nights this Sept. I can not say enough kind words about Alain, the host and his B&B! We had the most delightful stay, getting to know our host, who speaks very good English, and is anxious to learn about you, and happy to share information about France, the area, and his own journey. I think he is living his dream. Running a wonderful little B&B and teaching pottery classes. We purchased one of his works, and it certainly will serve as a reminder of our lovely stay there. The rooms, there are only 2, are charming and the decor reflects his past travels. They are clean, and the beds comfortable. The bath is small, but clean. There is a hair dryer available. He goes to great lengths to make your stay in "his home", your home, while you are there. Breakfast was great, typical French bread, croissants, local jams, jelly and honey, along with fresh fruit, coffee, tea and orange juice. Care was taken with the the table setting and presentation. Breakfast comes with your room chg. You are welcome to tea or coffee, and some TV or just a quiet relaxing time away from your busy day, in the living room. One evening we were delighted with a dinner he and his friend cooked for us and another couple from New Zealand, the 6 of us had a lively discussion about wine....what else, we were in France. There was a charge, for dinner, but minimal. The host is available to you, if needed, but you have privacy. The home is old and built in 1739, I believe Alain told us,and is the subject in one of Monet's painting! I must at this time say that it's a very short drive to the Monet garden, home and museum, and wonderful side trip. Your host is more than willing to help with suggestions about the area, and gave us the name of a small local restaurant where we had a delicious lunch. For those looking for a 5 star hotel, this is not, only 2 lovely rooms in an old home, lovingly cared for, and presented with the kindness and service that can't be beat. Soap and small amt. of shampoo provided, so bring your own, we did, didn't expect to have it provided. Not a big deal, just nice to know.

Alain was a very welcoming host and looked after us very well. The room and bed were good and met our needs perfectly. Alain helped us plan our visit to Giverney and the surrounding area and arranged a restaurant booking for us locally. On our other evening we dined with him and another guest with a very good African meal. Breakfast was excellent with fresh bread and croissants with home made jam. There is a lounge area and also an outdoor setaing area in the courtyard where one can sit with a drink from a limited range that is available.

Alain could not have been more friendly or helpful and we loved the African themed room. Excellent breakfast too. Not every day you get to stay in a house that's been painted by Monet.

It was very comfortable and off the beaten track. The property was very old with an interesting provenance. The room was furnished with interesting range of furniture and decorative pieces. M. Foucher was an extremely friendly and gracious host. He spoke very good English and we enjoyed learning about his love of the property that he has lovingly converted into a Chambres d'hôtes. Breakfast was delicious with a range of homemade preserves. Nothing was too much trouble for him. It was a very short and easy journey to Monet's House and gardens at Giverny.

Le Havre is well located, just a short drive from Giverny but without the crowds and with plenty of picturesque country and interesting places nearby. The host, Alain, cooked us a wonderful, and very reasonably priced, evening meal. For those like us, who speak very little French, he has excellent English and was an engaging and entertaining host, who was keen to share his home and his hospitality. Breakfast was also good and our room was very clean and comfortable.

Recently stayed at Le Havre de Bennecourt with my wife and both of us cannot praise the accommodation and host high enough. Our room (African) was both spacious and well appointed and the breakfasts were a treat with fresh breads, croissants and homemade jams included Alain as a host is perfect, speaking excellent English and ensuring his guests get the most out of their time, recommending excellent local restaurants, and also telling us many local points of interest and scenery not to be missed as we travelled locally. Le Havre de Bennecourt is ideally located in a lovely local village on the Saine and countryside, within 10 minutes of Monet’s Garden, and 40 mins drive of Paris and Versailles with Paris also 30 mins by train if you want. So good, we will be revisiting.

Wonderful! Alain is an excellent and helpful host and was truly interested in us and our travels. His place is a b&b and located near the river in a small village, right there amongst French life. Alain has thematically decorated the rooms and they are very artistic and pleasing. We were able to use the lounge area which had a tv and tea and coffee facilities. Everything was very clean throughout and our room and bathroom were very well appointed. We highly recommend Alain's property.

Great find on booking.com, the rooms are clean and comfortable and quirky in a nice way, we forgot to arrange a meal prior to arriving but that was our fault, the host was very welcoming and promised us a great meal next time we stopped. Nothing, it was great

The inn is beautiful. The owner is accommodating and very friendly. The room was clean, decorated beautifully and a home-made breakfast awaits in the morning with fresh croissants and baguettes with home-made jams. The beds are comfortable and bathroom super clean and incredibly well appointed with rain shower and bowl sink. Truly lovely. If you are going to Giverny, know that this Inn is a 15-20 Euro cab ride away if you don't have a car. So if you are driving this is a perfect place. If not, the cab rides can easily add up. It's about 23 Euro to the train station as well. This is my only criticism. If you have a car, it's perfect.

We stayed at Le Havre de Bennecourt for just one day, but wish it was longer. The owner, Alain, was extremely nice and helpful. A continental reakfast was included with our room and included homemade jams made by Alain himself. There is parking in the small driveway of the house; the entrance to the driveway is a narrow opening on the side of a steep street, though, making it a real challenge to get in and out, so be forewarned. Overall we wish we had more time here!

We stayed with Alain after visiting Monet's Gardens at Giverny (a short taxi ride away). My mom had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before and Alain made it all wonderful. From his emails before we arrived, to the West African dinner, to the homemade French breakfast, to the ride to the train station on our departure, it was a great experience & highly recommended! Only wish we'd had more time to explore the area and share more meals together.

Our host Alain was very friendly and helpful,he made a lovley african meal the first night we got there. The 2 bedrooms were decorated in african and oriental style, lovley comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Plenty to eat at breakfast, also homemade jam that Alain had made. I recomend going to monets garden as it is only 10 mins away and so nice, also a short walk from Alains house and you can walk along the river seine.I will be sure to go back again. Thankyou Alain .

Our host made us extremely welcome and even cooked for us one evening. Breakfast was most enjoyable and included in the price of our stay (not true in all places). Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and clean; this is a quirky b&b we would be happy to recommend to anyone. The position of it is perfect for a visit to Giverney and the whole Monet experience which is wonderful. It is also close to La Roche-Guyon which is worth a visit.
