Friendly and helpful service, great food and central location, useful on-site parking too The room was very small and we'd asked for a double room but had two single beds together instead.

Le Laury’s Hotel is located in the traditional, old town of Morzine. This is good for the shops and bars, but unfortunately there is a bit of a walk up to the ski lifts. I would recommend hiring skis close to the lifts to avoid the walk in ski boots. That said, buses in Morzine are free and it is possible to take a bus from the hotel up to the ski lifts. When we checked in, the owner, Franck was there to meet us and he very kindly carried my wife’s bag to our room. The hotel has a public bar with log fire and sky television where you can watch news and sport from all countries. Our room, which had an ensuite bathroom, was on the small side but it was warm, clean, and comfortable. Franck speaks good english, he has a good sense of humour and like the rest of his staff, will do all he can to please guests. The food was fine. Dinner was always interesting as there was no knowing of what we were going to be given, but we enjoyed it. I would describe Le Laury’s as a typical, french family owned hotel and Franck is indeed an excellent host.

Frank is a great character and host, makes a huge effort that you enjoy your stay, and obviously enjoys doing so. This included early access to the room, uncomplaining when we forgot our key getting him out of bed, and calling me in the uk to say my son had left his phone and posting it to us the next day. For a budget hotel, I doubt this can be beaten, and it's very central. Can't think of anything !

The staff and their customer service made our stay at Laury's perfect. They can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Frank has great English and is full of jokes. It is a small family run business in a great location. Our meals every night were lovely and if you don't like something they will change it for you. The hotel is kitsch, with retro French prints everywhere, I love retro so this was perfect for me, it was cosy, clean and comfortable. Would reccommend, 10 mins walk to the pleney bubble lift.

Le Laury's is excellent value for money, very friendly and convenient, a couple of minutes from the shuttle bus stop with buses to take you to all the different lifts. A great central location to reach the whole Portes du Soleil area. The room was comfortable, clean and warm. If there was something on the menu that one of us didn't like, they went out of their way to provide something else instead. We would definitely go back. Nothing

emplacement dans Morzine; personnel sympathique; en règle général: arrangeant repas (demi-pension) pas très recherchés; lieux de rangements (chaussures et skis); vu la taille et l'état général, le rapport qualité-prix est trop cher; 2 téléviseurs (sur des programmes différents) et 1 radio à tue-tête à la salle à manger sont dérangeants;

The hotel was quaint, clean and provided everything we needed for a long weekend ski break (my 16 year old son and myself). The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Frank who spoke excellent English. He even ran a Karaoke evening which although I initially wanted to leave I really enjoyed, despite myself. Food was very good. Although there wasn't an actual choice, if there was something on the menu you didn't like Frank would go out of his way to provide you with an alternative. There was a little mix up re our booking in that Frank only had us down for 3 nights instead of 4 but he immediately acknowledged his mistake and made speedy arrangements for us to spend our final night in a 4 star hotel (and arranged to transfer us and our luggage between them) - mistakes happen, but in my opinion he scores extra point because he didn't try to make excuses, he just provided a solution. I agree with other comments that it would be best to see if you can leave ski equipment in one of the hire shops near the lifts. All in all, I thought Le Laury's was excellent value for money and would have no hestitation in booking it again.

Owner very friendly. Breakfast ok. Dinner very basic but ok. Good location for ski buses to various points. Rooms extremely cramped and basic. No shampoo or hair dryer available. No choice on dinner menu, though owner would make an alternative if asked. Boot room was a tiny cupboard under the stairs. Skis stored outside on restaurant balcony.

Location Hours for meals Tiny attic bedroom with shower over bath - which because of the sloping roof made it impossible to stand up for a shower ! Limited contintental breakfast. Average evening meals - steak was on offer twice in 5 days.

The owner of the hotel was extremely generous by upgrading my family to a four star hotel because the hotel was over-booked. He paid the price difference (including a great difference in meal prices), and knowing that transportation in Morzine is inconvenient, he offered to drive us to and fro the train station at a reasonable, local taxi, price. On the way he told us his whole life story, very open/friendly person, provided us great service.
