Great location in the centre of town. Desk staff were very pleasant.

The rooms are very expensive for the standard of the hotel.

We loved the room the town, the helpfulness of the staff, the friendliness of town.

Parking was hard, but the staff made arrangements that we could park in the courtyard because we had to leave early in the morning.

Charming hotel with lots of personality that had clean and modern bedrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Located in the heart of Bayeax. You enter through a small gate on the Main Street, which opens into a courtyard for parking and restaurant dining. This little hotel has had many famous guests over the years. Great service, wonderful staff.

The 3 story climb to our room but this also adds character to the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly situated to tour Normandy and the beaches. The town is lovely with many places to eat or have a coffee. The staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. While the bedrooms were a little long in the tooth, they were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were newly renovated. Great shower pressure and hot water! A great value!

I am so glad that I contacted the hotel ahead of time to reserve a parking space for our rental car. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would also recommend that you ask the hotel staff to make dinner reservations for you at a restaurant in the town. They had great recommendations but we needed reservations as it was peak season.

Really like e location of the hotel with respect to Bayeux. A great experience.

The room was over the bar area and was a bit noisy.

Eisenhower stayed here, John Wayne stayed here, Tom Hanks stayed here.

Avoid dinner in the dining room--probably very good but more expense than the other places we ate.

Its location was excellent for a short stay in Bayeaux and visit to the tapestry. It is an interesting old hotel which has played host to some pretty famous people

The continental breakfast was mingy and you had to sit in the bar not in the dining room. A bit mean I thought.

Cannot beat the location. Right on the edge of old town, literally step outside to the right in your in old town. Parking was on site so no need to park separately from the hotel. Staff is most friendly and helpful. I would stay in the this hotel again if I went to Bayeux.

Breakfast is not included in the price. However, walk up the pedestrian street toward the city center and buy breakfast at one of the breakfast shops - you can buy an enormous amount of food for four people under fifteen euros. There are also many restaurants but are much more expensive.

the best service--very attentive without the least intrusion. large (for Europe) room with good bathroom facilities. Very classy without pretensions. whatever you need will be provided. staff speaks very good English. Not the cheapest place, but full value for the money. I highly recommend LeLion D'or for anyone staying in Bayeux, including families with well behaved children, as such families have already discovered this hotel.
