The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. When we arrived we were upgraded to a better room and checked in within about five minutes. The room was much bigger than expected with an enormous bathroom. The location was excellent, across the road from the metro, but tucked away slightly from the main street. It was surrounded by an array of restaurants, bars and cafes and the shopping was superb. We would definately recommend this hotel and its lovely staff. We look forward to returning again

Excellent stay from start to finish. The staff is superb. They were all very welcoming and helpful with suggestions. You can choose to include a buffet breakfast which was also excellent and includes hot items. The room was very well appointed with a keen eye for aesthetics. Location is perfect in a nice shopping area, easy walking distance to many attractions, and there is a metro station less than a block away. You can't go wrong staying here.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was great, with a nice view, fine bed, excellent bath and shower. Right on st. Germain des Pres, but well soundproofed. The breakfast was an additional 25 euros, with no good option (expresso for 3 euro), which seemed rather high considering the room cost of over 300 euro). We went out, as it appeared most others did, too. A petit dejourner plat in the area ran 10 euro or so for coffee au lait, croissant, bread with butter, and oj. The hotel needs a similar option.

Hotel Madison is a quiet oasis in the centre of a bustling area of Paris. It's superbly situated for sightseeing and dining. Our room had a beautiful view and was obviously recently refurbished with beautiful linen and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was served in our room at no extra cost and include a good selection of bread and pastries. We chose this hotel because it had a bar and facilities such as bathrobes, tea making equipment and a room safe. Unfortunately the bar had run out of White wine and was unable to supply a slice of lemon with a gin and tonic! Our safe had been left locked by previous occupants and still hadn't been opened by the time we left, two days later. Teething troubles I'm sure... But issues which need to be sorted if the hotel wants repeat business.

The staff at Hotel Madison were very friendly. Caroline - Hotel Director, had organised a lovely gift for my wife which was in our room when we arrived as she was aware it was my wife's birthday. All staff were very helpful in providing directions and advice on restaraunts. Our room was very clean and beautifully finished. Hotel Madison has a great location in Saint Germain - just opposite Le Deux Maggot and close to the shops on Rue de Seine. Highly recommend!

Great location, staff was extremely nice and helpful, high-speed internet free of charge, very quiet room in a lively area For this tiny room rather less furniture E.g chairs would be better in favour of more space. Water-jet was average.

Decor was bright and modern and while rooms were small, they were cleverly designed to make most of what room there was. Interesting location, close to famous literary cafes and some good restaurants. Close to metro station. Room was scrupulously clean and all staff were polite, helpful and eager to please. At 25 Euros we thought breakfast was very expensive, especially with many options nearby. We thought hotel would be closer to places of interest - Quai D'Orsay, Place de la Concorde, Conciergerie etc. Times quoted to walk to these places were probably fair for younger people, but for those in mid 60"s and older, it was hard work - perhaps worth mentioning?

I thought the hotel and staff were excellent. The rooms for the price could have been slightly larger, we were extremely fortunate to have been upgraded on two of the rooms, they possibly would have been fairly small as the upgraded rooms were not huge. However having said that they were very well equipped and extremely clean. A really enjoyable stay.

The Hotel staff at the reception was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good. Location is excellent. Rooms have mini ligths like stars. The room service (cleaning) staff was poor. Everytime they clean the room, they take amneties back and forget something like towels. The even didn't change the used glass of water.

Great location, easy Metro, great restaurants, shopping. Great staff, day and night. Good breakfast choices. Since being renovated, the superior rooms with a view of St. Germain are tiny. So tiny. They are not big enough for two people. A room at the rear of the hotel was twice as big at half the cost.

Great location, opposite the metro, and within walking distance of great shops and tourist sites The staff were generally unhelpful and surly. Having specifically asked about visiting the l'Orangerie on a Tuesday, they didn't tell me it was always closed and I only found out when I actually got there. Asking directions to different locations was always greeted with a disdainful response and if I asked for specifics, it was responded to with a shrug. Having ordered a taxi at a specific time and asking for a general price band, I was not told that the cost of the taxi started from when the taxi got the radio request, not from when it actually arrived to pick me up... When my £8 (which was the cost of he return trip getting the taxi off the street on my return trip) trip cost me £21 and I asked the desk at the hotel why that was, they said it must have been my fault for keeping the taxi waiting, which I hadn'T... There is only 1 computer to deal with check in & out so I was kept waiting

This is a wonderful hotel, with comfortable modern rooms and a large, friendly, helpful English-speaking staff. The dining room and lobby facilities are very nice. The breakfast buffet (15 Euros) is excellent. The location, directly across Blvd St Germain from the church of St Germain des Pres is excellent. We felt very lucky to have discovered it and would definitely return.

I loved staying at the Hotel Madison!! I went to Paris with a friend whose daughter is studying in Paris for the semester. We had originally booked a prestige room with twin beds. Her daughter decided she would like to stay with us so we upgraded to a junior suite. The rooms are very small, but it did have two separate sleeping areas, with a sliding door separating them. One room had a king bed (can be 2 twins) and the other room had a murphy bed which was actually pretty comfortable. We were in room 71, which does not have much of a view, but that was not an issue for us. The room was quiet and very clean, the furnishings were very nice, there was a separate tub and shower. The shower is small, but has good water pressure. There was a separate room with a toilet. Each room had separate ac controls and the ac worked well. The staff was very friendly and helpful! They gave us two great restaurant recs. The location is amazing!!! I would definitely stay there again!!!

I have stayed at the Hotel Madison many times, but this was the first visit since the renovation. I love the location and was delighted to find that some of the staff were still there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The price has risen pretty dramatically, but it was worth it.

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Nice blend of traditional and modern design and efficient use of space. Two sinks ! And the location is very convenient to our tastes. Twin beds - would have preferred a single queen or king bed. Space was a bit cramped for two adults with luggage. I do not know what other room configurations are available. For example, we usually stay at the Lancaster or Bristol in Paris, which have somewhat larger rooms.

The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and fresh. The location is great. No communication with Booking.com. The hotel were not aware of any of my honeymoon requests. The hotel rooms although clean and tidy, were not designed well - no full length mirrors, no towel racks in the toilet. The shower had very low pressure.

great staff:helpful, friendly, professional fab location, one minute to metro & smack dab in the middle of st germain! "view" from the room, as warned on this site, was of an interior building. instant coffee, again, pre-warned on this site, was not up to their standards.

The location The panicky, fussy concierge who couldn't help us find a decent restaurant. We went to our room and phoned one ourselves and got a booking. The one he recommended looked dreadful, like a bus tour spot.

“A perfect hotel in a perfect location. The receptionist and staff were excellent and made our stay absolutely perfect. The hotel is a boutique and is fashionable and trendy but has practical touches. On arrival we were upgraded, unprompted, to an executive room. The room was big and spacious and the bed was too comfy and we had a double shower. The room had everything we needed and the complimentary coffees and umbrellas came in useful. All in all, this hotel is perfect for a romantic break and very central for all the tourist sites. Thank you for making our stay perfect.” John, Drighlighton, Bradford |

“We found this hotel to be in the perfect location for a wide varity of restaurants, pubs and we walked to all attractions from the hotel(we are in our late 30's / early 40's). It's an 8min. walk from the RER B station(train from airport). We would stay there again and would recommend to friends.” Darren, Hopedale |
