Located in the Provence region, in the heart of Carpentras between Avignon and Orange with the Côtes du Rhône vineyards stretching across the horizon, this hotel is more like a quiet and cozy southern...

A small and pleasant hotel in the center of Carpentras.
Getting there is a piece of art even with gps. A maze of narrow one-way or even closed streets of the old city made us to stray around for more than hour.
The excellent service from Sebastián and staff
A bit run down, tired, needs a facelift.
Friendly, convenient, including finding a safe place for my bicycle.
No staff at night; room became extremely hot & stuffy immediately when window was not left open. I don't know why because the weather was not hot.
This is a very rustic traditional French hotel. Whilst the staff didn't speak much English they were very friendly and helpful. Parking is not great but the hotel let us use the reserved space opposite the hotel. Breakfast was fine and it was nice to share it with the locals who popped in for coffee every morning. The room was basic but very clean with a window view overlooking the town square.
When we arrived on the Sunday evening the hotel was completely shut (as was all of Carpentras) not sure whether there had been a big day in the town the day before but everything was closed, bars, restaurants etc. We got the impression we were a bit early for the holiday season even though it was the last week in May.
The hotel staff were very friendly in the middle of the friday market close to the old sinagoge close to the restorant chez serge!!
i was offered the parking space of one of the people who work there. Everything was there that i required for comfortable stay. Friendly people.
This didn,t apply on this occasion, but the hotel has no parking, which to me is fairly important. And only a minor problem was that they had no cereals/fruit as an option for breakfast .
Excellent location, central, the restaurant downstairs was very convenient and great for watching people when sitting outside. Restaurant/cafe frequented by locals, opens very early, around 6am. Did not eat at this restaurant as was there anyway to visit Chez Serge Restaurant which, I highly recommend. Rooms were tastefully decorated in modern decor. No lift, but staff is very helpful and will carry your bags upstairs. Staff was very friendly. Some speak some English so it is easy to communicate. A very pleasant stay in this small, charming town.
