The apartment is located in the characteristic Marais
The apartment was quite dirty and decrepit. The owners were kind and available until they got the money (payment the day of the arrival). Later it was impossible to get in touch with them. Nobody answered the phone or our e-mails to solve problems in the apartment. The pictures in the website don't correspond to the real situation and are misleading
Great location in Le Marais, only 2 blocks away from Metro and Main street Rue de Rosiers. In cobblestone street, no traffic, next to restaurants. Fantastic for family on a budget.
Not well cleaned Room smelt bad
We loved the location. The apartment was an easy walk to restaurants, grocery store, bakery, etc. Since all of the neighborhood stores close at a reasonable hour, it's quite at night. The building has a small lift, which is very convenient for those who do not want to drag their luggage up the stairs. It's worth mentioning that the beds were comfortable.
As others have indicated, the kitchen could use a facelift. The living room needs comfortable chairs.
Many things. Staff speaks spanish and french, but no english. We had a problem with the padlock. The owner, despite having spare keys in town (he lives in another part of the country), have chose to leave us locked out of the apartment and (as he CLEARLY pointed out later on...) drove 5 hours, spending 100 euros on gasoline and tolls just to find the padlock working perfectly. Well, I've tried to open it myself. My mom, my auntie and his employee did also try with no success. In the end, Lina (the employee) took us to another apartment, but we had nothing with us, not even our toothbrushes. Do yourself a favor: rent an apartment somewhere else.
This is an unmodernised apartment in the centre of Le Marais - a very lively area with shops and restaurants - very central with easy access to the metro. It was very quiet as it is located in a semi pedestrian street. We were out most of the time and did not use the kitchen facility, but we were very pleased generally. We had been concerned by recent comments on cleanliness, but found the flat was very acceptable and very good value for the area. The sofa bed would not have been very comfortable for 2 but we only needed it for one person.
The shower area is very small and like the kitchen and toilet could do with a total revamp. Efforts had clearly been made to decorate and put in more modern fittings.
The apartment is situated in a good area and is close to the heart of Paris. It was an ok apartment , with the things you need. Ok beds.
The photos in the internet was not reality. The apartment looked very modern and nice at the photos. In real the apartment was hard worn. But still we think we got value for the money. A bit hard to come in contact with staf. We had to wait a bit for the cleaning lady, whom was going to have the payment.
I booked this apartment for my visit to Paris with my parents. The area was great! It is in the Jewish Quarter and there were bakeries very close that made excellent bread and pastries. The apartment was quiet and had a stove, toaster oven, etc...
It wasn't really so clean and the towels were a bit stained. There was mold in the bathroom which also didn't have a heater so it was freezing cold. The hot water tank held enough water for two people to shower, but the third person had to wait for more water to heat up. The sheets on the pull-out couch smelled like they had been used. It bothered me so much that I actually ended up staying at a friend's place in Montparnasse and leaving my parents at the apartment. The sheets for the bed seemed fine, though. The apartment description is also misleading. "The apartment features an ornamental fireplace" is not true. Also, my apartment in Geneva is 42 m2 and the apartment we were given was much smaller. The pictures are very deceptive. Very creative use of the fisheye lens.
No Internet or TV, no solution for making it work. Very small apartment, not really clean.
