Friendly staff; nice, clean, comfortable room with excellent bed & bath; i-pod/phone cradle to listen to our own music. The immediate area around the hotel is peaceful, yet it's ideally situated close to thriving club/bar scene. Nice to see some original art exhibited. We'd return here. Breakfast prices too high; lounge area dead. Hotel should include a free glass of wine or croissant/coffee just to get people circulating in the lounge area. |

Location pretty good and staff very helpful trying to be a boutique hotel but fitout quite cheap. Had wakeup call when not requested and struggling with jetlag....then when we booked a wakeup call it wasnt made. Rooms very very pokey. |

The hotel was terrific and I particularly liked the relative spaciousness of the room and bathroom, the excellent location of the hotel, the very helpful and friendly staff, and the design emphasis of the hotel. I visit Paris once or twice a year for a week or so and I've stayed in a number of hotels. Le Marceau Bastille is definitely one I'd happily return to. Above all, I can't say enough positive things about the staff who were unfailingly solicitous and seemed to genuinely want to ensure that my stay was pleasant. I would have preferred a top sheet on the bed and a blanket rather than the duvet which I found a trifle warm for mid-September. I suppose I could have requested it and it likely would have been provided but it was a very minor issue for me. |

Pleasant, helpful staff with good English. Our room was a bit small but spotlessly clean and very quiet - a bonus for Paris. Artwork was ...interesting. Breakfast was very good, though probably not worth 24Euros. 5 minutes walk from the Gare de Lyon. Recommended. |

The hotel is comfortable and nicely decorated. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quite small rooms, The location is not great - unless you need to be close to Gare de Lyon. |

Phenomenal!!! The location was perfect for Paris (slightly removed so very quiet but so close to everything (Bastille area) that you were steps away from the heart of the city). Just a dozen metres from a great Boulanger, Pharmacy, Charcuterie, etc. with the Seine a few metres in the other direction. |

Friendly staff, attractive rooms though one was very small. We were on the sixth floor on the yard side which was very quiet and with some view of Paris'roofs. Location was good for Marais side of Paris, very close to beautiful Place des Vosges, but needed to take underground for most sights. Breakfast a bit ordinary, but adequate. |

We liked the decor and overqall design of the hotel. We enjoyed the artwork displays and comfort of our room. we stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our holiday in France and another two nights at the end. The room at the beginning was larger and better equipped as apposed to our final stay, whereby our room was smaller with no tea & coffee making facilities. No, we had a problem with car hire and the receptionist went out of his way to help us find a new car hire. All the staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. We would certainly come back again. |

Clean, quiet and comfortable - sometimes difficult to achieve in central Paris! The view was not great and, on lower floors, would have been very restricted. |

A lot of thought has been put into the interior design of this hotel, the breakfast room, the entrance, etc., are all tastefully done. The breakfast itself is very pleasant. The hotel rooms have pleasant balconies, but they all overlook a rather grim office building. |
