We visited Paris around New Years (so getting restaurant reservations is a challenge). The staff at Le Marueil was incredibly nice and helpful with restaurants reservations, tickets to events, advice, etc. The hotel is nice, clean and small. It's an easy cab ride (or long walk) to the big sites (Louvre, Notre Dam, etc.).
Limited closet and drawer space. We had to get creative on how to and where to store clothing.
Very clean friendly and in a great spot to be able to get around Paris
Great location and lovely staff. Delicious bakery up the road for coffee and baguettes for breakfast! Two metro stations within a few minutes walk and a beautiful area of Paris for taking in the sights and enjoying cafés and restaurants close by.
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have made it perfect but not really a big issue.
A nice modern hotel
Like all hotel rooms in Paris the rooms are quite small
Clean room, friendly staff, fitness room, good breakfast
WiFi can be slow sometimes
the bedroom was quiet and comfortable, the receptionist, Belinda was superb and made us feel so welcome, and tried extremely hard to help us in all our queries
the male receptionist was a little rude to our friend at one time when she mistook his office for the downstairs loo! he could do with smiling a little more and take a lesson from Belinda on how to deal with his customers but the manager and breakfast staff were lovely. the room needs a bath mat in bath as it was very slippy showering with out one, a kettle would be good too and the breakfast is very over priced for what it offers.
The staff were amazing from the moment we arrived. Room was beautiful and location was perfect.
Having to leave
a bit too warm at night
I had bad experience in room 14. There were insects bugs on bed exactly in room 14... You should not live in its.
The staff were excellent, very helpful with directions, sorting taxis and assisting with letting our evening restaurant booking knowing we were running late. The location near Place de la Republic was reasonably convenient for most things.
At approx €250 for a night in a 4 star hotel with a double room I would have expected the experience to be more up market. The reception is tiny and many budget hotels have much better. The room itself was also quite small with enough room for the twin beds and a couple of feet around the edges to be able to move around.
Excellent bed quiet room in quiet location handy to transport etc
hammam opened from 7am to 11pm, cool neighbourhood for evening, relaxing lamp, kind staff
I had a discount so it was value for money but normal rate is quite expensive for the size of the room
Everything about the hotel is first class but for average Paris prices. The room and the bed were wonderful. The sound proofing made the room very quiet despite construction across the narrow street. The hammam (steam bath) is superb. Ideal for a romantic week-end.
The decor , the cleanliness , and how efficiently everything worked .
The quality of the shower gel .
Friendly Reception Bed Steam Room
Gym was a little small; needs couple of heavier weights
staff bedclothes TV programms
Location perfect. Silent small street despite central location. Super-friendly staff. Breakfast better than average. Very clean and modern room. Nice beds and bathroom. No extra cost for young children (incl breakfast)
Room was rather small and no place to unpack our luggage. No space for extra bed for our daughter but no big problem if your child can sleep in your bed.
Very near Republique with inexpensive restaurants, and lively scene, but down a very quiet side street, so no noise. A great night's sleep. Friendly and attentive staff. Rooms all in good standard of decor, and tasteful. Larger than average rooms for a Paris hotel. Easy for Oberkampf or Republique Metro, so Gare du Nord really easy. (London Eurostar)
No restaurant, but many restaurants nearby. Breakfast at 18 Euros was a little expensive, but continental breakfast at 12 Euros was fine.
Staff is very very very friendly and helpful. Value for money Close to metro stations
Room is small but l this is Paris :)
Quiet bedrooms, very well equipped. Great location, clean and modern decor, but discreet and calming.
Very courteous and helpful staff Very clean rooms and towels. Quiet room and pretty soundproof.
No CNN or BBC television news
you cant connect with laptop to internet but mobiles OK. do not get taxi from hotel because they get more from you I think they get commission on that. location is far from sightseeing.
Staff is SUPERB! The nicest in France!
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
The staff was all top notch hospitable and very pleasant. The hotel lobby and rooms were impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable. We did not have am opportunity to use the steam room- but checked it out and had hoped to work into our schedule as it was very nice. We will return here when we visit Paris again.
We liked it all. Breakfast was a welcome convenience the first morning, although there are a lot of alternatives close by.
