Very basic and tiny rooms.

As always very helpful and friendly staff. Not far from motorway so ideal for an over night stop.

good for an overnight stay. clean, good breakfast. Water heater with tea and coffee in the room which was nice on a cold evening after a long drive. In the industrial zone of the city, next to 3 other budget hotels, I expect this is the best of the three. Feels like a ski lodge with woodden panels everywhere you turn. Restaurant and gas station right next to it. Very good value for money.

Bathroom could be a little bigger and warmer.

The staff were really friendly, our dogs were very welcome which is great. Free car parking and a decent restaurant next door (the poivre rouge) where again our dogs were welcome and house wine was reassuringly cheap made for a good overnight stay on the way back to UK from Switzerland

Bathroom was very small but had all that we needed.

Clean & comfortable with very pleasant, efficient and welcoming member of staff. Excellent value for money and ideal place to stop over between Southern France and Calais. Convenient, reasonably priced grill-restaurant next door.

Nothing at all wrong with the hotel itself. However, readers should note that they will need to drive if they want to visit or dine in central Chalons. Also note that if you have a Garmin sat nav you should give the address by postcode / street rather than finding the hotel itself in Places of Interest as this takes you to a housing estate a little way away!

It was exactly as stated. Very clean and comfortable. Typical business hotel.

45 minute walk into town centre, but a taxi ride when its dark as its located outside of town via industrial estates.

The best thing was the receptionist, who was fantastic, very helpful, very welcoming, and with great English (and German, despite having to cater for 50 or so coach passengers, including serving drinks all night!). The hotel was very comfortable, albeit the rooms were quite small. The lack of a bath was a slight disadvantage, but a great shower and tea-making facilities in the room made up for this. Breakfast offered a good range of options, in a very simple but effective self- service style.

Being a bit too far out of the town restricted the options for food. We decided to try the Poivre Rouge, which proved to be our worst experience of France - poor service, rude staff, poor food (although the hors d'oevre starter was very good) and a dog roaming about the restaurant! Not the hotel's fault, of course, but if you stay here (which I recommend you do), avoid the Poivre Rouge next door!

The hotel is very close to the Motorway and is a convenient location to stay overnight to break the journey through France. We found the hotel clean and quiet, there is a good grill restaurant across the road which offers a good choice of food and English menu. The room was fairly compact but comfortable enough for one night. Free WiFi is also available.

Clean, character-filled room and hotel with nice communal lounge. Receptionist didn't speak english but was very friendly and we struggled through. Has nice american-style family restaurant next door, as well as supermarket just round the corner. We stayed there for one night as a stop-over and, for the price, it was excellent.

It looks much nicer on the inside than the outside!

The quality of this hotel was a very pleasant surprise, especially for the cost of the room. And best of all was the amazing breakfast - by far the most varied choices and cheapest (7.50e) in all of France.

We liked the quirky decor and the relaxed atmosphere. Nice breakfast sets you up for the day. The lady on reception did'nt get her name was first class nothing to much trouble.

Reception was very good - all facilities explained clearly. Rooms very clean, comfy beds and nice bathroom facilities. Breakfast selection was excellent, in a very pleasant room.
