The town/area has nothing to recommend it. We were on our way to Brittany and this was a half way point. The room was nice with a view of the canal and we were able to take a walk. The dinner could have been good, except for the very tough breast of duck. I would not recommend anyone to go out of their way to stay here or in Moissac, but if you need a half way point to the coast, it works very well.

good breakfast buffet, and the view of the Tarn. The staff did not seem interested in us. The bathroom was poorly designed, in particular it was impossible to reach the lavatory paper dispenser while sitting on the lavatory. In doubt if any manager had ever tried to live in Room 111 for one night.

The setting is terrific - on top of the river and overlooking the canal. The town is small enough for the hotel not to be out of the way though there are no doubt more lively places nearer the centre. For a Saturday evening it was remarkably quiet in the restaurant. The room was comfortable and clean and we slept well. We were inadvertently overcharged for our pre-meal glass of rose (charged as champagne at #12 per glass when the bottle price for rose was #15) and the breakfast on Sunday morning was poor and very much overpriced (also #12 per person and the omelettes tasted of semolina). We would probably go back if we were in Moissac but not if we got a recommendation elsewhere.

Superb location overlooking the Le Tarn river and within walking distance of the attractive town centre. Good base for exploring the area and for unwinding in the hotel or the town cafes and bars in the evening.

Most rooms have a lovely view of the river, as did ours. There is a coffee making machine in the room although with just an overnight stay, we didn't bother to tackle it. The town is delightful, and we would happily return.

Le Moulin is an excellent hotel in all ways. The location is wonderful by the "old ecluse" right on the Tarn River. The restaurant is fantastic, the food innovative and fresh. The service is superb. The public areas are well kept. The spa facilities are a welcome relief for any traveller. The delightful and well appointed rooms are very comfortable, and even have "Nespresso" coffee machines and all the trimmings, we were very impressed! It is a very well-run hotel, everything efficiently organised and controlled. From check in to check out, everyone was very helpful. We also had two dogs travelling with us, and we were all made very welcome, even them. I only have a couple of observations, which could improve an experience at Le Moulin. The most important being that even though the staff are very helpful and efficient a few more "smiles" would have been very welcome! We saw a very nice young man who was serving in the restaurant quietly admonished for welcoming us, when he was getting drinks for another table. We waited with no welcome as this took place and finally were shown to our table with "no smiles of welcome" from the restaurant manager. This was a little annoying and unnecessary. Secondly rooms in such a good hotel should have mini-bar facilities of some kind.

The food in the restaurant is really excellent, the chef is outstanding and the menu varied. The room was also good, large and located looking out over the river. This place is great value and really well run. Congratulations to the management and staff. A little more variety at breakfast but this is only a small point compared with our overall satisfaction.
