Le Notre Dame is a charming boutique hotel situated on the banks of the Seine, in the heart of Paris. It enjoys stunning views of Notre-Dame Cathedral and the river. Le Notre Dame offers free Wi-Fi and stylish rooms. It has been entirely renovated and only reopened in early 2010. Guest rooms are modern and air-conditioned. They include a flat-screen TV, safe and private bathrooms. Some offer an impressive view of the cathedral. Le Notre Dame is ideally placed to enjoy the city. It is very close to the famous Shakespeare and Company bookshop and the Latin Quarter. The Metro and RER are a minute’s walk away, giving direct access to the city’s sights and business districts. Corner room with beautiful view of Notre Dame and Seine river. Design room and lobby area. The hotel was situated in front of rive Seine and just opposite of Notre Dame catholic church. Romantic walks along the river banks, a world famous bookshop nearby (Shakespeare and Co.), the bridge where in love couples affix their love locks, swearing eternal love... No coffee machine available in the room, no slippers, and no wc brush (!!!!!). In a three nights stay no change of bed sheets...What a pity...

Awful experience Terrible hotel. It began by a 1 story climb to get to the lobby with no assistance for baggage. Then the elevator which held only 2-3 persons, had no ventilation broke down with me in it. I was trapped for over an hour. During my 5 day stay ( on the 5th floor) the elevator worked for only 2 of the days. With a bad back and bad knee I had to climb the 5 floors. It was the worst experience of my life. While the view from the room was great, there was nothing else to redeem this awful experience at the hotel.

Hotel is comfortable, funky and the location is excellent- Close to Notre Dame, Restaurants, and across the road from the rer station with direct line to Versailles and the Airport. Could not fault the room, perhaps bathroom was a little smaller than other hotels but this was expected and in no way hidden. Staff were mostly friendly and very eager to help wherever they could. There is no elevator from the street to the Lobby on Level 1- very inconvenient when traveling with luggage as we were. Also, I have some serious reservations about the security procedures in place at the hotel. You are asked to leave your key at reception when you leave the hotel- which we did, and collect on your return, which we did (as unusual as it seems). When we returned to pick up the key on all occasions, we were never asked for a name or any sort of proof of identity before it was given back to us, we simply said room xx and were handed the key. This was with several staff, most of whom we had not seen before. Also, I emailed the hotel in advance about facilities for luggage storage after check out and was assured there was facilities available. The facilities referred to consist of leaving your luggage in the corridor near the reception desk, at the top of the stairs from the street. They are not locked up at all and are 'watched' by Reception. Again, was not a problem but seems a little questionable.

Location was excellent - situated across from Notre Dame Cathredal and right in the centre of the bustling Latin Quater, with excellent access to both the Metro and "Batobus" (water taxi). The Rooms are lavishly decorated in a Christian Lacroix style and everything looks very beautiful. "Our Room with a view" was a little stretched - you could only see the cathedral if you put your head out of the window. The fact that there was no fridge in the room was a little inconvenient - as it meant that we had to ask reception to chill our drinks or leave them on the window ledge. The shower was a little badly designed and could overflow into the bathroom quite easily.

If you want to sleep in the Notre Dame hotel, please book a room with a view as the view at the Notre Dame is stunning. Our room was 51 and very nice. The interior is done by Chrstian Lacroix and it is quite special and nicely done. The walls are covered with wallpaper with designs of old paintings. Reallo cool! The double bed was big and comfortable and again the view!!! The sound of the street does not come in because the window are isolatiing good so we did not experience any noise although this hotel is situated at a very busy street in paris. There was a problem with the hot water but it got solved. The staff offered us the breakfast as compensation. Normally I don't take breakfast in the hotel but I have to say that it was quite romantic, in small sofas. We received fresh juice, chocolate bread, croissants, coffee and jam. It was nice. To be in this hotel at the price we paid, it was really worth it and not expensive. The bathroom is very small but if you know Paris a litlle bit, you know that this is normal.

The hotel staff was very, very nice. Always greeted you with smile and more than willing to help you book a reservation or answer questions. I thought they could have been a teensy bit more helpful in recommending places to dine outside of the area surrounding the hotel, but really they were lovely. They all spoke good English too, if that is important to you. The decor of the hotel and the rooms were very cool too... artsy. We also loved the view of Notre Dame from our room's window. Very scenic... or Seine-ic... get it? :) We really liked our hotel, so I don't want to say I disliked anything, but I'll share a few things about the place for those that are interested. When you first arrive, you have to climb a set of narrow steps with your luggage. If you travel lite - not a problem. If you pack heavy, good luck. The elevator is quite small (big enough for one large suitcase and one person). The rooms are very small (especially if you pack heavy!), so if you are looking for a spacious room look elsewhere. The three things I mentioned are part of having a great hotel in the heart of the city with a view of the Seine and Notre Dame - it was a compromise and one that I would make again.

Ottima posizione!

We were given room '32' a lovely room directly facing Notre Dame. The room was neat and tidy. Downside was bathroom which was cramped and a dodgy shower. It was good value for money.

Excellent location. The staff was really helpful and kind.Inside decoration of the hotel and rooms is made by C.Lacroix is a "to see". Maybe, the only bad thing is the size of the elevator and rooms but hey, typical Paris right? We thought that it makes it even more authentic with the amazing view that we had over Notre Dame.

Great location. The Metro and rer is just beneath the stairs, and have direct access to almost everywhere in Paris. The view is amazing. You have a Notre Dame sight live on your window square. You also have free wifi which is great. The elevator issue is continuing, as I recall it was mentioned a lot before. The first day I arrived it was not working but was fixed in 20 minutes, and then could I carry back my luggage in the room. Unfortunately you have to carry your luggage without anylift just at the entrance to the hotel too. The breakfast could have been better, just a drink and a croissant is not called breakfast. At least some cheese could have been offered, after all, we are in France, right?

The view! We could see Notre Dame from our room and it's location is awesome. Right around the corner from some great restaurants and bars. Also, very close to the Metro and the rer. Great staff and location made this a great place to stay! No minibar in the rooms. It is understandable considering the size of the rooms but they lounge is great and is available 24 hours a day. The lounge also has great views of Notre Dame!

The hotel is situated on a very busy corner. It's literally on the edge of the Latin Quarter. If you're someone that wants the true French food and shops, I wouldn't spend too much time in the Latin Quarter. The one meal we had in there was absolute rubbish. It's by no way the true Paris. The hotel was average. After travelling for 3 weeks through the South of France this was actually the worst stay. Pretty disappointing. The rooms are not as large as I had read prior to booking. The sheets were not changed after even 4 nights. There was no room for your towels to dry after a shower. And you could clearly hear what the people in the room next door were saying. Unfortunatley, around 2am every night there was a drama down on the street, of which we could hear the screams and the yelling. We did find that there were a number of bars directly across from the hotel. Wouldn't stay again.

Great view of Notre Dame (if you're prepared to pay extra for 'a room with a view'). Worth going once for that window view of Notre Dame - but if you can only afford a 'non-view' room, then frankly it's not worth it. We paid 250 euros for one night (view room) - but from what I recollect the non-views weren't significantly cheaper. It's also on the noisy main river-boulevard (but the double glazing does cut the noise down a lot). The hotel is starting to feel a little scuzzy too - it's not old, it was done-over about 5 years ago as a designer boutique, but even now it feels tired and a little careworn. Rooms are tiny (but so are most of Paris' hotel bedrooms). I'm glad I stayed that one night, as I'll remember that up-front view of Notre Dame forever, but I won't be going back.

Location of hotel is excellent, the most important monuments are easy to reach, We stayed in the room on the thrid floor, facing the cathedral Notre Dame, it was a great feeling waking in the morning and the first thing you see is Notre Dame. The hotel has a great design, which represents a Paris in all its beauty, mixture of a history and fashion, which are the atributes of Paris.
